Read Your Bible
The most important thing you can do today is READ YOUR BIBLE!
The only way we gain wisdom from the God to carry on in His principles, is to read His letter to us, while asking the Holy Spirit to open the understanding.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

The Nuns and Islamic Women Dress Alike
Has anyone noticed that the historic garb for nuns in the Catholic church are very similar to the Islamic dress for women?

No One Earns It!
If someone in the Catholic church becomes born again, the Holy Spirit within them would make them desperately uncomfortable with the goings on in the church and they would leave.
Those that claim to be born again but stay in the church, are merely adding some Christian terminology to their Catholicism. Their heart is with the tradition rather than Christ. and they cannot be born again. The Catholic church has been doing this from the very beginning, incorporating the practices of other religions and pagansim into their services to entice the culture around them to like them enough to give them a try. It is an age old tactic.
Now we see some Catholics calling themselves "evangelical Catholics." They say they are saved by grace, the same terminology we would use, but the meaning of the same word is a different meaning.
When we say we are saved by grace and grace alone, we mean that no one can earn their way to heaven, it is all a work of God. However, when a Catholic says they are saved by grace, they mean they earn their graces by each good deed that they do. In other words they are earning their graces in an attempt to pile up good works with a better chance of attaining heaven by their own efforts.
When we speak with people of other religions it is best to define the terminology before we witness to them. Many believers are becoming confused now as to the salvation status of the Catholic because the terminology sounds the same but in fact it is designed to confuse and deceive.
God said this: Ephesians 2:1-10
"2:1" And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them"
There is nothing we can do, should do or have done, that will bring us salvation, it is all a work of Christ. We choose to seek Him confessing our sinful nature, and He does all the rest of the work in us.
Do not allow any "religion" convince you that you must do something to earn heaven. When we have become born again there will be fruits and works, but not as the means to our salvation, as a RESULT of our salvation.
