Two people cannot walk together who do not agree because it takes one-minded purpose to create a meaningful relationship.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Authentic People Do Not Pretend
"When you speak do not do it to impress but do it to express." This is authenticity.
People Change God Does Not!
God is the only One Who does not change. People change but God can always be relied on to be genuine and full of truth.
The Gospel to the World From Our Homes
Why do we not see more Christians writing about Jesus Christ on Facebook?
I see this medium as a way to encourage other believers in their walk and to share the gospel with the lost.
Is it possible that most who say they are Christians have no interest in encouraging one another to walk in holiness nor do they care that others hear the gospel.
I am thankful for all those believers who are using the internet and social media to encourage one another and to share the gospel. There is no greater way to spread the Good News than the internet, God has provided it for these end times to be able to reach every home in every town in every country of the world right before He comes to take home His church.
We can sit in our chairs in our homes and reach the entire world for Christ. It is a miracle that only God could have orchestrated.
We don't even have to be well enough to travel long distances, we can write at times and rest at other times right from our own homes. I say "go for it" brothers and sisters!!!!
I remember many years ago an older lady who was using radio from her garage to speak to believers around the world while giving the gospel to the lost. She was on fire for Christ but could not travel, she did have a microphone and a little office in the back of their garage where she gave Bible lessons and shared the gospel to the world back in the day when radio was all that was available.
This lovely lady had to get donations to pay for radio time and it was expensive. She was only allotted a particular slot once a week or once a day for half an hour.
Now we can ALL do this from our computers every day. I cannot think of anything more exciting than this!!!!
We don't have to worry about being at the computer at a particular time because we have access 24/7. We can speak to people in another day, they will be in our tomorrow and we are in their yesterday while communicating together in chat.
I will never stop being amazed at what God has done in this matter of the internet.

Rejecting Traditions that are not From God
When I was in high school before I was born again we were being taught that the world began with a big bang. It was called the "Big Bang Theory", but was not being taught as a theory because they didn't teach any other theories alongside it, that could be plausible and definitely not Creation by God.
In other words, I was penalized for asking questions and expecting conversation over it. This has been the story of my entire life. My generation was taught just to believe whatever the authorities taught without questioning. Because this mentality was woven through all the culture it was considered rude to disagree and even worse if we asserted ourselves that we were not going to accept what the majority wanted us to believe.
To this day I thank the Lord that He placed in me a personality that asked; "why" a lot and did not accept what didn't make good sense to me.
After I became born again this same mentality within me questioned the things that I saw in "church." And, of course, there I was also met with contempt as though questioning was rude and rebellious.
I was even called rebellious by family members because I wanted to know the truth about everything. This desire to know the truth is often met with angst, thus making us the target of "family mobbings" in which everyone marched in lockstep with one another and the scapegoat, me, was treated with disrespect as though a rebel.
I would ask my family things that they couldn't answer and was always met with rudeness. Since being superior and always right was the goal of everyone in the family I was treated as the outlier who caused trouble by asking for explanations because they could not explain what they believed.
I learned to stay in my room a lot, reading books and staying out of conversations they were having because I knew I would be met with discourteous and demeaning responses. This mentality never ended, I am in my 70s today and the family still operates this way, at least those who are still alive.
However, beyond the extended family that I avoid now, the same devil who has influenced that family structure has reached beyond them to the next generation. I do assign this problem to the devil. The people who allow him to influence them without asking God to show them the truth, are responsible for just believing the lies. I suspect that jealousy, just like the jealousy the devil had of God, was what motivates gossips to believe things of which they have no evidence.
The devil is relentless in keeping the truth from unsuspecting family members. They are blinded to the truth about everything, except a little truth is thrown in to make the whole Magilla sound good but also make the belief a lie.
Half-truths are worse than lies, they give credibility to something which is completely wrong.
The point of this article is that we should never stop asking important questions to clarify things, we should never stop asking God for truth no matter how others choose to react to our inquiries.
The angriest people are those who follow belief systems they cannot explain and are deeply fearful of those who question. When we find ourselves in company with, "lock-step" people we have the freedom to walk away and make new friends. These non-questioning people often operate the way cults do, asserting things that are not true and intimidating people into compliance.
My suggestion is to get away from "group-thinkers" they will always hold you back from progressing in holiness. It is only through knowing truth that we can become more Christlike.
Romans 12:2
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
We ought never to follow groups, persons or families, we ought only to follow Christ. These entities might at times speak some truth into our lives, but if they use manipulation, intimidation and mocking to control you, get out of there!!! Run, don't walk, away from those who love their traditions more than they love God.
Colossians 2:8
"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ."
Mark 7:13
"Thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”"
My last suggestion; question ALL things people say comparing it with what God says in His Word. If what they say and do does not match up with His Word then you are free to disagree and you are free and even have an obligation to God to reject what is not from Him.
Love is the First Fruit of the Fruit of the Spirit
Love is the first listed fruit of the "Fruit of the Spirit of Christ" that believers receive when they become born again. It is first because it is the most important and is the foundation for all the other fruit.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the great and foremost commandment.
39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”
None of the other fruit is present if there is no love, love is the foundational fruit for all the other fruit.
Christ is the very essence of His fruit that He places in us when we become born again. If there is no fruit there is no salvation. Christ will only give fruit, that is Himself, to those who have confessed their sinfulness and desire to be changed by Him into a new creation.
Pretenders, narcissists, will accuse others of not having the fruit when it is they who lack it. We know when someone has this supernatural love for others, their attitudes and reactions to life experiences are evident given enough time and challenge.
Matthew 5:19,20
"Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven"
There are many commandments in the Bible all sub categories of the ten commandments that God gave to Moses.
Those who ignore some of those commandments and even make up their own to add to God's Word are the pretenders. They "say" we are "Bible believers" but in practice, they have little regard for God's Word or Christ. These people do not have the fruit because they do not have the Holy Spirit.
The fruit of the Spirit comes to us when Christ makes His home in us. Believers are His temple, He becomes the essence of their being.
1 Corinthians 6:19 "Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?"
I have visited with many believers who do not have recollection of the Holy Spirit speaking to them. I do not mean in an audible voice but through His promptings. When we have heard from the Holy Spirit we know its Him, it is clear and unmistakeable.
Deuteronomy 5:27 –" Listen To All That the Lord Our God Says. Go near and listen to all that the Lord our God says. Then tell us whatever the Lord our God tells you. We will listen and obey."
God will not speak to those who will not obey His Word.
Matthew 13:13-14 "13
This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "`You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving."
Many pretenders in churches today would tell you they are "Christians" but they will never use the term "born-again" and they will never hear from the Holy Spirit. Those I have spoken to who are pretenders look at me sideways when I ask them if they have ever heard from the Holy Spirit and then have no answer for me.
Acts 19:2-6
"2 He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him, “On the contrary, we have not even heard if there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” And they said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 Paul said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."
Some born-again believers have not sought the counsel of the Holy Spirit so they do not know what it is to hear from Him.
When we pray asking for God to teach us and remove all false ideas we were taught, He will give us the wisdom we need and believe me, it is exciting when we realize how many things we did not understand correctly and most of Christendom still does not understand.
Many people today hold on so tightly to their man-made traditions that they cannot hear from God. But most importantly they do not ask Him.
James 1:5
"5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and [a]without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Many things we were taught are necessary are not from God and we could, in confidence disregard them. Other things the culture says are not important in God's Word are and have purpose and meaning they do not understand.
Most of Christianity today is based on false assumptions and cultural ideas and not on God's Word. When we ask God to expose this to us in detail He does and we are filled with joy that we no longer have to be in bondage to what the culture does or wants. We can walk a straight and narrow path with Christ without burdensome human traditions.
And, thankfully we have no need that others go with us, even though we wish they would for their own sake, we are content and complete with Christ alone.
We love the brethren who want that narrow road and who are willing to sacrifice their lives to walk with Christ. These are our brothers and sisters and the ones who will be at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb with us.
1 John 3:14
"We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death."
John 15:13
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."
Philippians 2:17
"But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you."
1 Thessalonians 2:8
"We cared so deeply that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our own lives as well. That is how beloved you have become to us."
1 John 2:9
"If anyone claims to be in the light but hates his brother, he is still in the darkness."
Praise God for His Holy Spirit Who will guide us in all things.
