On another thread there was a discussion about all the minions of the Obama administration that were and are a part of his web. I attributed their collective mentality to the devil and responded with the following:
"Their father is the same father for all, that is the devil. Even with narcissists that I have met, they don't know each other, some even live in different countries, but their language is always exactly the same:
"you're too sensitive", "It was just a joke", or "you just don't understand", it is fascinating that all of them use the exactly the same verbiage, even when they do not know each other."
The devil is behind everything evil that is happening right now in government, in families, in schools and every other organization he can get his claws into. He has willing partners who have heard the whispers of his voice in their unprotected mind and have done his bidding without rational thinking of their own.
Ephesians 6:12-13
"12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm."
The culture is now dominated by the unreasonable arrogance of the narcissist.
The thoughts of the narcissist:
"If you say something that makes me feel bad, then you are an evil person", the narcissist hates correction even when it is truthful, merely because it makes them "feel bad."
We live in a culture that thinks "feelings are facts", it doesn't matter how good ones arguments are, narcissists and liberals, which are one and the same, are going to justify their actions on the basis of their feelings rather than reasonable arguments.
You can speak truth all day long to a narcissist and he/she will continue to argue complete nonsense, even word salad to keep their opponent off guard and confused. They will throw together a bunch of meaningless and unconnected words that say nothing at all, and count themselves having won because their target is flabbergasted with no way to answer.
Narcissist don't even have to make sense in their arguing as long as the result is to frustrate and anger their target.
When facts don't matter anymore, only the sense of having won over someone else, then all good sense and proper thinking is not necessary. It is impossible to reason with people like this, making it foolish to continue an argument with them as soon as we realize what we are dealing with.
Sadly the narcissist thinks they are highly intelligent, but we know it just can't be, because intelligent people are also reasonable people who seek truth, winning is not important as long as truth is discovered.
Proverbs 23:9 "9 Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words."
Bullies, do what they do to intimidate you into accepting what they want you to think. Generally this involves holding them in an elevated position of superiority.
No one can make us believe as they do, no one can force us to accept their belief system merely because they attempt to harm us.
Bullying in school has been common for as long as man kind has existed.
Cain killed Able out of jealousy, because God accepted Able's sacrifice but did not accept Cain's.
And, we see by Cain's actions, that God was proven right. Cain showed that his heart was angry, jealous, disrespectful and evil all along or he would have been ashamed rather than raging to the point of murder.
Bullies will always eventually be caught, they are so deeply invested in self preservation that they make a lot of mistakes and sometimes with the very people who have been supply for them.
Eventually the victims of bullies will come to their senses and realize they have been used and abused long enough and it will be over forever.
Even when the bully comes to apologize, they may be forgiven, but there has been so much abuse for such a long period of time that they will never be trusted again by their victim.
Just like Cain, the bully revictimizes their target over and over again attempting to kill their soul. There is murder in the heart of the bully, their aim is to destroy the one they bully.
We cannot help these people, when reason and dialogue is refused or we know we will very likely end up in another bullying tactic worse than all the others, then it is time to let go and let God. Resolve to disallow any more bullying by leaving and not returning.
This is when it is right and good to pray for the bully, but that does not translate into continued contact. We must move on to healthy relationships in which all parties love one another God's way.
Hallelujah, we may not have many friends in our community as believers, but we have wonderful brothers and sisters all over the world who love Christ as we love Him, let's focus on those people.
And then, we can rejoice together that we will one day be out of here at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, where our Groom will be full of love and kindness.
1 John 3:11-13 "11 This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his own deeds were evil, while those of his brother were righteous. 13 So do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you.…"
When pleasure is the focus, then it has to keep going and going acquiring more to keep satisfied, but the satisfaction only lasts as long as the activity, then a new activity has to emerge to stave off the emptiness.
When we are joyfully content, we are blessed by the small things in life, no need for excitement or adventure. The Christian life is adventurous but not in the same was as the worldly life.
Those who seek after pleasure are never satisfied, they must keep having new adventures to fill the emptiness in their soul.
When we are content, the little things are exciting, such as watching a kitten play, a dog carry his bone, the smallest things bring much pleasure because they are watching God's creation in action.
No need for man made pleasures when we can look out our windows every day and see what God did, knowing He did that for us.
The contented life is the joyful life every day all the time.
1 Timothy 6:6-11
"6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
7 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.
8 If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
11 But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.
1 Corinthians 15:33 " 33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”"
Even though Lot was considered by God a righteous man, he sinned greatly even after he was delivered from those cities. He had been around those wicked people so long, he was affected by their ways.
When we are in the company of rebellious people a lot, we begin to think like they do. Believers who are self righteous, loving their pleasure and personal glory will be drawn into flattery and the desire to be accepted by worldly people.
They will measure their righteousness by how many people accept and like them rather than by the standards of the Holy Scriptures and Christ Himself.
When these worldly Christians have been accepted and loved by the ungodly, they will begin to grow in pride, thinking they are loved because they are so wonderful themselves. This pride leads to the judging of others who are not accepted because of their devotion to Christ and His Word.
The worldly believers pretend that those who love Christ and stand firm, are doing something wrong, they call them judgmental, mean spirited because they do not accept sin in the lives of believers.
Those who love to be loved by man, judge the truth tellers as though they are doing something wrong by standing for God's principles.
We can expect this nearly every where we go now, even in church. The pride that comes from "self righteousness", permeates nearly everyone now, with the exception of a few compared to the whole.
2 Timothy 3 describes the end times, the mentality and the tactics of those who have chosen self exaltation rather than the righteousness of Christ as their standard.
Do not be discouraged, it is the way of it in these last days of apostasy, we are called to live above it, seeking Christ for everything all the time, leaving those who reject His principles to Christ to deal with.
After prayer and reflection I am convinced that all this hoopla about ancestors and DNA, is another way for our culture to entice and introduce us to ancestor worship. Think about it, of what value is knowing names of people we have never met, who have never influenced our lives and all we know about them is their name?
In most cases we have no idea about the lives of the people with names, we have no inkling as to their life. Perhaps those who want to delve into their ancestor information is to discover which famous people they were related to, as if this will give them value to be related to a famous or infamous personality.
Personally, I am who God made me, I am an individual from all my relatives, with my own choices, my own identity and my own beliefs.
Some of our ancestors were very wicked people without Christ, but we might not know that, because there is little to no back ground about them.
Some may have been believers, but we don't know this either, and if we did know it what would it do for us?
We must follow Christ no matter what our ancestors did, no matter who they were, we must go with Christ.
The only really significant culture that is kept in the Bible is that of the Jews. If we were Jewish I can see the importance of that lineage, because it was important to God.
So the bottom line in this ancestor worship is this:
Knowing someone who is famous, even if they were wonderful, does not impart to us their fame and beauty. We must have our own walk with Christ, make our own way in the world to be what God intended for us. No association to information about ancestors will do anything for us, except possibly infuse pride, the very thing we want to avoid.
Often I hear of reports from people of their ancestors as though to say to me, "look at me I am special because my ancestors were famous."
Titus 3:8-10 "8 This saying is trustworthy. And I want you to emphasize these things, so that those who have believed God will take care to devote themselves to good deeds. These things are excellent and profitable for the people. 9 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, arguments, and quarrels about the Law, because these things are pointless and worthless. 10 Reject a divisive man after a first and second admonition,…"
