Narcissists will make a mountain out of a mole hill to gain emotional control over others. They love to feel angry and superior, there is no benefit to their targets to remain as their friend.
The devil is controlling the minds of those who have no defense againt him, because they are full of self insead of the Spirit of God, they will attempt to rule over others through manipulation and intimidation.
There is one way to combat this behavior on the part of the narcissist; refuse to engage with them while walking away. God can handle them, we don't need to attempt to make them understand or reason with them, they are unreasonable.
Do not become like the narcissist in order to exact revenge. When we engage with them they will mock us, using ridiculous language to frustrate, it makes them feel powerful. The more we engage with a narcissist the more we feed them the attention they are seeking.
Don't desire to keep the rebellious mocker in your life, their only aim is to keep things upside down, they get power from it.
"I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it."
George Bernard Shaw
Prov 22:10 "Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.'"
2 Thessalonians 3:2 "And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith."
Prov 3:34 "He (God) mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble."
Prov 26:4 "Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you will be like him yourself.'"
Prov 26:5 "Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes.'"
Don't make things easy for the mocker;
Prov 22:11 "When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; when a wise man is instructed, he gets knowledge.'"
Prov 29:8"Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger."
Far too many believers allow mockers and wicked people, often family members to remain in their lives reeking havoc for no other purpose than to feel power over those who are too humble and meek to stand up to them.
Humility and meekness, does not mean that we are to put up with wicked people who refuse to obey Christ. Our patience in Christ is in removing ourselves while Christ works on them.
