God Remains Faithful

God is a "Promise Keeper"

2 Timothy 2:13-14 "; 13 if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. 14 Remind the believers of these things, charging them before God to avoid quarreling over words; this is in no way profitable, and leads its listeners to ruin.…"

Even as believers we mess up, our flesh gets in the way, but in Christ we can persevere, confess our mess ups and continue on toward spiritual growth.

1 John 1:8-10 "…8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.…"

The Culture Helps the Sinful Remain in their Sin

I do not believe Trump is going to save this country, not because of anything he is doing or not doing, but because we live in an age of rebellion.

Trump is merely aggravating the rebellious youth by demanding order and compliance to the laws. It is going to ignite all those who hate rules and compliance to them.

We live in a time of intense rebellion against authority or expectations, that would be needed to bring the nation back to order.

We have care givers now who are taking care of people who could take care of themselves, but have been deamed mentally ill for being on drugs or alcohol.

Instead of requiring these people to clean themselves up to be able to care for themselves, the system is facilitating their sinful actions by calling them disabled and giving them funds that other hard working people earned.

It is not only unfair, it is unjust to take from those who are living law abiding hard working lives, taking their money to give it to those who have chosen to live rebellious and sinful lifestyles, without little accountability in terms of how they use that money.

I am all for rehabilitating people, getting them off of their devastating substances, but to support them for the rest of their lives while helping them to remain sick by not vetting them properly, we are robbing those who earned what they have, for which they worked hard many years to gain.

God's way is best, it is helpful to those who are in sin. Helping someone to raise themselves up by requiring accountability and restoration, so that they can live a life of dignity, earning their own way, brings far more dignity and freedom than the bondage of their sinful lifestyles.

God's love helps people heal, it does not help them to remain in their foolishness, destroying any possibility of recovery.

Rebellion and laziness leads to poverty and early death.

2 Thessalonians 3:10
"10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."

Proverbs 21:25
"25 The desire of the sluggard puts him to death,
For his hands refuse to work;
26 All day long he is craving,
While the righteous gives and does not hold back.
27 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination,
How much more when he brings it with evil intent!"

Proverbs 18:9-10
9 "He also who is slack in his work Is brother to him who destroys. 10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous runs into it and is safe."

Proverbs 10:3-5
"3 The Lord will not allow the righteous to hunger,
But He will reject the craving of the wicked.
4 Poor is he who works with a negligent hand,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
5 He who gathers in summer is a son who acts wisely,
But he who sleeps in harvest is a son who acts shamefully."

Proverbs 14:23
"Prosperity comes from hard work, but talking too much leads to great scarcity."

Proverbs 12:11-12
"The one who works his field will have plenty of food, but whoever chases daydreams lacks wisdom. The wicked person desires a stronghold, but the righteous root endures."

Too Proud to Confess?

When someone is devastated that they have made a mistake it's a sign that they had far too high opinion of themselves.

When we are humble we know we make mistakes or committed a sin, don't like them and we fix them, but we are not devastated because we know our own flaws and can readily admit them to move on to do better next time.

Those who cannot admit they have flaws, never grow past infancy, only admitting can bring change.

James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

God will not fix someone who doesn't think they need to be fixed.
