No Better Teacher and No Better Text

Amen, Amen!!! I have found that over the years most advice I have received from friends and family has been wrong. When I began seeking the Holy Spirit and reading the Word of God my eyes were opened. We cannot unsee something when God shows it to us.

When People Think They Know You!

There are narcissists who are committed to misunderstanding you.

Have you ever been in conversation with people who take innocent and even wise comments and turn them around to make them sound foolish in some way?
Our world is full of people like this more than ever before because the devil is twisting the minds of people to be angry over nothing at all.

These people need an enemy to feel superior to, so they choose the person they think they can control. Often wrongly judging that someone needs them so badly, they are willing to accept disrespect to keep them around.

Those who must have an enemy to tyrannize to feel whole operate from illogic and irrational thinking to concoct someone to be against. Hitler was of this sort and every dictator in the world were of this sort.

They have decided to operate a certain way with certain people, it is not an after-thought, or spontaneous, they have chosen a person they want to feel superior to and methodically through overt or even covert means torment this person of choice.
They know inside of themselves they are doing something wrong so they have to keep doing it hoping that at some point their target will blow up making them feel justified in their contempt and rudeness.

I remember a story about a young man on a bus who used his mouth to torment another passenger. The passenger couldn't take it anymore and lunged at the bully with the mouth.,

The bully went home telling his story that he won over a raging person on the bus, making the lunging person into the bully. The truth was that the mouth of the real bully caused anger in the person he attacked with his mouth. The real bully lied to others who did not witness the situation and they believed he was heroic for beating up the bully.

This is classic narcissism, jabbing at someone until they can no longer stand it and then blaming the one who defends themselves for their reaction to the mouth of the bully.

The purpose of the mouth attacks is to cause escalation of our emotions and finally fight so they can portray themselves as the victim. Those who do these things are after only one thing, to appear stronger by baiting others into anger and then playing the victim when the one they attacked with their mouth blows up in frustration.

To fight back when a fool uses their mouth to demean or mock is to become weak without strength. The fool wins when we engage with them in their stupidity. The fool is already weak-minded but we do not have to become like them by responding.

Proverbs 26:4 …3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the backs of fools! 4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be like him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he become wise in his own eyes."

A fool considers himself wise when he has been able to get you to respond to his foolishness or to make you angry or upset. Fools count themselves as having won over you when you answer him according to his foolishness.

Never allow a fool to entice you into becoming like them through idiotic arguing over nothing important.

Matthew 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces."

Matthew 15:14 "Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”

Proverbs 9:7-8 "He who corrects a mocker brings shame on himself; he who rebukes a wicked man taints himself. / Do not rebuke a mocker, or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you."

This last passage endorses rebukes and chastisement for the wise, in order to know if someone is wise we must know the scriptures and make judgements based on God's Word.

1 Corinthians 3:19
"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”

Proverbs 14:7
"Stay away from a foolish man; you will gain no knowledge from his speech."
Our job as born-again believers is to become wise according to God's Word and use that wisdom to guide our relationships and interactions with the world.

Matthew 10:16 "Behold, I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves."

1 Peter 3:15
"But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect,"

Our goal is to remain untainted by the world bringing a completely different mentality in our witness, one that does not need to win over anyone but is bold in proclaiming the truth.
