Secondly; people only grow in wisdom when they learn from their experiences. The things that grow us the most are the most difficult things, but only if we are willing to admit our flaws.
Those who will not admit they have flaws remain spiritual babies as well as lacking in wisdom and discernment.
Philippians 1:9-10
"And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ;"
Hosea 14:9
"Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; Whoever is discerning, let him know them For the ways of the LORD are right, And the righteous will walk in them, But transgressors will stumble in them."
Those who hang onto human tradition and worldly thinking cannot grow in discernment, they are easily fooled by good sounding arguments that are not based on the Word.
Mark 7:13 "13 Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so” in many such matters."
1 Corinthians 11:30-32
"…30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. 31 Now if we judged ourselves properly, we would not come under judgment. 32 But when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.…"
