We Must Make Judgments

If we are to be "Christ-like", we are going to come to terms with the mandate to make moral judgements. Since judging has become a taboo in our culture, sin is more rampant than ever.

The mantra: "Don't judge", has become a manipulative mantra to intimidate us into silence when we should be speaking.

Christians are often accused of being judgmental. However, what most people consider to be judgmental is merely telling others what God has said is immoral.

Pretense is Sin!

http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/why_are_christians_hypocrites.html

Pretense is a sin. When we choose to see things a certain way to enhance our own life, refusing to look at the truth of a matter, we are sinning.

Pretending is a form of lying. We can escape responsibility, we can make something look alright to be able to indulge, all the while leading someone else into a lie, deceiving them.

As believers we should always be willing to admit truth and speak it no matter what it brings. When we admit the truth about a matter, we can grow in holiness and move toward a closer relationship with Christ and with others.

When we pretend we do not grow, but as time progresses and we get older, we regress in our walk, becoming impotent in our witness, even encouraging sin in others.

Not Our Flesh But His Power

As the children of God we should be continually asking Him to make us what He wants us to be. He tells us in His Word, but if we are thinking with our own mind rather than with the mind of Christ, our mind will pervert what we read. We need to be asking God to show us His way, removing from our thinking anything that is fleshly or worldly.

Are we willing to reject and discard anything that we were taught to follow Christ. Much of what we were taught as children is false and even satanic.

God will answer our prayers for Him to change us if we want it. Those who depend on their own fleshly strength will fail.

Ephesians 2:10 "
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

James 1:5 " If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

Psalm 28:7 " The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."
