"5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."
If you feel misunderstood in this world as a born again believer, do not be dismayed by this, it is impossible for the darkness to understand what it has not experienced.
Darkness is the absence of light!
We only understand and connect with the LIGHT because we have Jesus Christ, Who is the Light living in us. Those who do not have Him cannot understand.
Ephesians 5:8
"For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light."
2 Corinthians 6:14
"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

They are tearing down all our history!
Yes but consider this;
As a born again believer, I know that all this history we learned in school was tainted with the perspective of those who wrote those books. We have to take it with a grain of salt. And, this is the biggie, God is going to burn it all up anyway very soon.
History does teach things if that history was accurately written. We know it is not because many of the ugly things about the founding fathers were left out in my textbooks growing up and I am 67 years old.
Everyone has ugly in their lives, sins they wish no one would ever know about even the fathers of our nation have sinned, after all they were human beings.
The people tearing down the history have their own set of evil they live, but pretend they are better than the ones they attempt to expunge from our history. In short, they are hypocrites, suggesting they are the bastions of righteousness better than others they choose a particular sin of others while remaining silent about their own.
Perhaps we ought to be living in the present, that is alerting people to the fact that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." No one is better than anyone else. Unless they admit their own sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, they will all be in hell together.
Christ was the only One who could save mankind from its sin. He is the only One who can cleanse anyone to be born again. It is the self-righteousness of man that leads them to believe they are better than others, so much better that they have a right to destroy what belongs to others.
Acts 16:30-31 "30 Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.”"
The destroyers of society with their pious self-glory are no better than those they attack. Violence grows when arrogant and self-righteous people think they are so good they have the right to attack others and the possessions of others.
We are watching our world implode because of the sin upon the earth. These are the end times, get ready for a bumpy ride, everything will grow worse, little by little until the antichrist reveals himself and takes over the world.
Yes, and many professing Christians will follow him because in the beginning, he will say all the things they like to hear. They will miss the clues that he is evil because they do not know the Bible and its warnings about him.
Do not be left behind when the church is taken out of the world. Read the book of Revelation, ask God to show you the truth and then you can confess your sinfulness, believe in Christ, and become indwelt with the Holy Spirit. Then you will go in up with those who are being kept from the wrath of God.
1 Thessalonians 5:8-10
8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him."
