Ecclesiastes 10:1-2 "1 As dead flies bring a stench to the perfumer’s oil, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor. 2 A wise man’s heart inclines to the right, but the heart of a fool to the left.…"
This is becoming more obvious in these last days of raging insanity. Those who think with depraved minds believe they are pleasing God.
So many are defending divorce and remarriage as though it is endorsed by God, when in fact, He hates it, does not endorse it and even condemns it.
When those who are defensive of sin come to fight with me they think they are fighting with me but they are in rebellion against God, I am merely repeating what God says. All their excuses to defy Christ will not please Him. All their attacks against God's people for speaking the truth will not please Him.
Those who defend sin are working for the devil, not only in their own lives but in the influence over others that encourage sin in those they speak to about this matter.
Those who have not been born again but claim Christianity, have only their own fallen minds with which to evaluate a matter. Those who are born again
have the mind of Christ clearly able to see the truth about sin.
1 Corinthians 2:14-16 "…14 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment. 16“For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.…"
The natural man is more likely to make wrong judgments because their mind has not been changed by the Holy Spirit, they evaluate things according to their culture and their feelings, not according to the truth.
"Culture" and "feelings" cannot be the motivating factors in how we evaluate matters. We must think with the mind of Christ according to His Word without prejudice to change the Bible to say what we want to believe.
Those who love their sin and their families more than they love Christ will mock, demean and gossip against those who have resolved to obey Christ no matter what comes at them. The attacks are nothing, they are only proof of the attacker's rebellion against the word of God.
Since the pretenders cannot openly attack God with their accusation and hatred, they will attack God's messengers. They are perverted enough to believe if they only attack a person claiming to be a messenger of God, God will not judge them for their rebellion.
Since "feelings" are stronger in them than rationale and righteousness they will choose to believe their feelings count as righteousness. They will believe by choice that coming against God's people is the righteousness of its own.
We can and are experiencing more of these irrational attacks on our character merely by speaking the truth from the Bible. The world sees us as pariahs to be rejected and expunged from the community and family.
Who is behind all this mess? It's very simple, the father of lies is behind it, the devil himself. He is busy twisting the minds of those who have no defenses against him, these are many in the church today.
1 Peter 5:8
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
James 4:7
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Resist the devil by using truth and when someone will not listen then remove yourself. Those who cannot control your emotions through mocking and demeaning will run away when they see you are not emotionally or spiritually moved by their antics.
Revelation 12:12
"Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”
When we know where all this hate comes from, we do not have to take the attacks as personal from the person the devil is using, they are only pawns and puppets to do the devil's bidding. While the devil convinces them he is telling them the right things or that their own thoughts are equal to God's thoughts, they pride themselves on their good ideas.
When we know all this we can praise the Lord retaining our great joy and still act loving to wretched people who do us harm. We do not have to be their good friends or keep company with them, but we can be steadfast when forced to be in their presence. The steadfastness includes truth as well as all the fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
The fruit of the Spirit does not have to be affected by the evildoer. We have it no matter what comes at us. Christ lives in us, we have nothing to fear and need not act according to emotion.
Jesus Christ wept before going to the cross and He wept over Jerusalem, that they rejected Him. But He went to the cross anyway and He did no harm, only good when He was on this earth. YES, we can be like that too, doing no harm, lacking reaction to evils done against us, even full of joy in spite of all that comes against us. This does not mean that we are never angry, but our anger against sin is controlled and motivated by the Holy Spirit Who lives in us. Nothing should be done or expressed that is not the working of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:8-10 "8 Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness."
Hallelujah!!!! May the Holy Spirit reign in the heart of every born-again believer!
