Faith is not Sight!
It is clear to me that constantly desiring signs to prove the Bible is a lack of faith. When we have faith we believe God even when we have not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
"11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
Those who have faith have it when they see no evidence of what God said He would do. We just believe Him even when there is no evidence that falls under our eyes. Those who cannot have faith unless they see do not have real faith.
Luke 4:12 "12 But Jesus declared, “It also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
Matthew 16:4 "4 A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Then He left them and went away. "
Just believe God and you will be alright!

God is the One Who Shut the Down the Church Gatherings
God is giving Americans a chance to experience what it would be like if they were mandated to obey the government in all things.
Our churches have defied and defiled God in their services, indulging in pride and sin without repentance toward God. Please take these weeks to reflect on our own attitudes, our beliefs and our actions to see if there be any wicked way within our hearts that displease God.
I am convinced that if the churches do not repent from their false ways God will bring something bigger and longer to chastise the churches. Persecution and isolation may make people think about their practices and their pride.
We have been grumpy and entitled all these years in America, we sinned with impunity without fear of discipline, even in the churches.
Many complained when they didn't have their way and they didn't honor God in those ways. Many developed a false system of religion that God never commanded while standing staunchly to defend those false ways.
Instead of winning about our freedom to gather in the gigantic debt filled buildings, perhaps the churches ought to be hanging their head in shame over the filth, sin and pompous attitudes that have driven these apostate church gatherings.
Instead of blaming the government for shutting everything down, it might be better to feel ashamed and evaluate the ways we dishonored God in the gatherings.
Perhaps we ought to think in terms that the churches were the ones who motivated God to shut us all down. The churches were to blame not the government. The government was merely the entity God used to accomplish His will, that is the discipline for the apostate ways of the modern church.
Malachi 1:10
"Oh that there were one among you who would shut the gates, that you might not uselessly kindle fire on My altar! I am not pleased with you," says the LORD of hosts, "nor will I accept an offering from you.
We have indulged in false religion in most churches today, so God has shut us down, will we listen to His chastisement?

Traditions of Men Have Ruined the Church
You will find no command or admonition in the Bible to celebrate "Easter", "Christmas" or "Halloween" in God's Word.
These are man-made holidays that came from the Catholic system that incorporated pagan practices into the church many years ago to entice pagans to join that system.
Sadly most church attendees today no matter what denomination has adopted these holidays as acceptable. They have attempted to make them about Christ, but they degenerated into paganism mixed with Christianity because they were never commanded by God.
Yes, Jesus Christ was born but there is no evidence that anyone celebrated His birth that can be found in the scriptures. Notice that most countries of the world never celebrated birthdays, except in the context of astrology and worship of false gods.
Jeremiah 10:1-3 "1 Hear the word that the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel. 2 This is what the LORD says: “Do not learn the ways of the pagans (heathens) or be terrified by the signs in the heavens, although the nations are terrified by them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut down a tree from the forest; it is shaped with a chisel by the hands of a craftsman.…"
We have been so indoctrinated into celebrating these holidays that many Christians would feel guilty if they didn't do it. And yet, their celebrations that are reported to be about God are riddled with pagan symbols and practices.
Our family did these holidays for years. When we did them we were not born again and after we were born again we continued for a time because we were new in the faith and saw all the other believers partaking of these festivals of the pagans.
Many years ago I began to question the value of these holidays because I saw and did things that didn't make sense to me. I asked God many questions about why we do what we do. His answer came back to me in my heart, "you do them because you are following human traditions that I never commanded."

The more the Lord began to speak to me on these matter the more rejected I became by others. For years I was someone who asked; "why do we do this" and "is it Biblical." No one had a Biblical answer for me and most were irritated that I would even ask.
After the Lord made clear to me that it was not obedience to Him that motivated people to celebrate these holidays that were spawned from paganism, I could no longer enjoy them.
So many people are convinced these holidays are about Christ because they want to believe it not because they have asked God if they were or because they have strong Biblical evidence for participating. The truth is that most Christians today cannot bring themselves to question these holidays because they love the traditions of men.
I have lost friends over this matter of holidays, not because I have been unkind to anyone over it, I have just told the truth and declined to celebrate them myself. When we attempt to arouse thinking in the modern believer we often come against stubborn hearts that defend the indefensible. I never hear Biblical evidence that these holidays were given by God. All I ever hear is that "we should make it about Him."
Amos 5:21-23
21 “I hate, I reject your festivals,
Nor do I delight in your solemn assemblies.
22 “Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings.
23 “Take away from Me the noise of your songs;
I will not even listen to the sound of your harps."
As we can see it is common all down through history for men to make up their own holidays God never gave but attempt to make them about God believing God is pleased with them.
Ask yourself one question: "why does the world love the same holidays that our culture claims are about Christ." They don't make it about Christ themselves but they love all the traditions men have assigned to these days. They even make up their own false gods such as Santa, lying and saying he loved God.
The heathens love the Easter egg hunts, the dressing up in special clothes once a year to attend church when they have no interest in God any other time of the year. This is because their traditions delight them, it is not God that delights them.
Our culture has no interest in God apart from their man-made traditions that defile the gathering of believers. They speak of everything but God when they indulge in these pagan holidays.
If anyone wants to know more about this they can ask God. We will not be able to convince a culture that is steeped in human traditions that they were raised with and that make them feel very happy.
The devil is very clever, he inculcated into the culture pagan practices attaching the name of God to them to entice many to accept them. Once he had enticed several generations into practicing them it was nearly impossible for the born again believer to convince them these things never came from God.

Through deceit they refuse to know Me,” declares the Lord."
