Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

God Knows
God Know!
1 John 2:19
"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if
they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went
out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."
Have you lost friends and family because you are a fanatic
for Christ. Or, perhaps you were sinful in your early years, repented became
born again and those who knew you then, wanted to continue to believe you have
not changed, even though they can see a change, they desire to hold things
against you, that have been under the blood for years.
Perhaps the old friends and relatives liked you better when
you were walking in sin. They felt elevated because they were better than you,
but now they can no longer hold onto their superiority because you have been
changed, cleansed and walk with Christ.
Even believers in family situations who want to walk
superficially, treat you as they did before you were born again, as though you
are beneath their notice.
Fear not, God is the only One who matters and He knows all!
He knows what He did in us and He knows the hearts of our accusers.
The Pharasees treated Christ in this way. He came along to
show them that He is God and true righteousness and they hated Him because they
loved their tradition, their sense of superiority, and Christ showed them their
own heart that was black as coal.
Matthew 23:27 "27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful
outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness."
John 8:42 "42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your
Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I
come of Myself, but He sent Me."
If family and friends were born again, while claiming to be
Christians, they would rejoice at the change God has done in us and begin to
sense a kindred spirit.
When Christians act unhappy and deny the change in us, it is
a clue that they have never confessed their sinfulness, believing they were
somehow worthy of salvation. Those who have been born again came in brokenness
over their sin and love to see others who do the same.
Luke 15:32 "But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for
this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been
found.'"
When those who claim to be Christians are more comfortable
with those who have rejected Christ than they are with born again believers, we
have our clue that they may never have become born again in the first place.
The first thing that happens when we are changed into a new
creation, is that we love the brethren, yearning to be with them, and becoming
very uneasy when in the presence of those who hate God.
1 John 3:14 "We know that we have passed from death
unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth
in death."
Do we yearn to be with those who cannot speak enough about
Christ?
Do we hate the sin we used to do and reject being in the
gatherings of the unsaved?
If we are led to go to a heathen gathering because God has
sent us to witness there, that is one thing, but a true believer is not
comfortable and does not enjoy the ungodly gatherings.
2 Corinthians 6:17 ""Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR
MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS
UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you."
Let the Lord lead in every circumstance, He will tell you
what to do. Read His Word every day, taking daily baths in His cleansing Word,
to become discerning.
Philippians 1:9-10 "And it is my prayer that your love
may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may
approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of
Christ,"
Hebrews 5:14 "But solid food is for the mature, for
those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to
distinguish good from evil."
Proverbs 3:1-12
"3 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
2 for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you.
3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 So you will find favor and good success[a]
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
8 It will be healing to your flesh[b]
and refreshment[c] to your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.
11 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
12 for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights"
