Jude 2:11-15
"11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,
13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
15 These things speak and exhort and reprove with all [i]authority. Let no one disregard you."
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Calling Dirt What it is Really
There are those who wonder why the truth tellers are so "negative", as I have been accused of being from time to time.
It is positive to call things what they really are and to learn how to deal with them.
Just because it is a little uncomfortable does not make it negative.
However, those who are suffering from narcissistic abuse would find these "negative" messages encouraging, it gives them skills and ways of dealing that resolve things for them.
Sweeping dirt under the rug so we don't have to look at it, only makes the pile bigger as we continually sweep messes under the rug.
The solution is to call the dirt what it is, get a broom and whisk away the problem by cleaning up the mess. Peacekeepers are under the rug sweepers, but peace makers are those who search out the dirt, call it what it is and find solutions.
Those who can only look at "positive" things as they call positive, often are of no help to those dealing with very harmful and difficult things.
The helpers are those who can tell us the truth, believe the truth and work out the answer for a permanent solution.
Those who cannot handle looking at reality are often people with fantasy thinking. They live in the realm of pretend more than reality.
John 16:13
"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come."
Psalm 145:18
"The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."
There is great joy in looking at things in truth, there are wonderful solutions, not always what we want, but what is good for us and for others.
Proverbs 12:22
"Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight."
Pretense is lying, God hates lying, He never lied ever, and we should not either. We will pepper what we say with grace and kindness, but even then those who don't want to hear truth will not see the grace and kindness, they will interpret our good acts as evil because they don't like the message.
Our world is dominated by fantasy thinking all the time now. There is more pretending than there is truth in nearly every contact. This is why I appreciate very much those who are authentic and can tell the truth about what is really happening, however, know this, these people are not popular and they endure much persecution, but they never waver from truth. Hallelujah!
