The Meaning of Leader From the Bible

Husbands and wives submit to one another as they submit to God. If either husband or wife wants their spouse to sin, then they must be corrected and not submit to that.
The Bible does not say that women must submit to their husband’s authority. Stop spreading this lie.
Ephesians 5 begins with a call for mutual submission in Christ. Verse 21 sets the foundation. Husbands and wives are called to serve and honor one another, not to establish dominance. You cannot skip this verse and still interpret the passage faithfully.
The word “head” (kephalÄ“, v. 23) does not mean “boss.” It refers to source, origin, and life-giving responsibility, modeled by Christ, who gives Himself fully for the church. Any suggestion of hierarchy in the Trinity would be heretical. The Son is begotten of the Father, and the Spirit proceeds from the Father. Similarly, Eve being taken from Adam’s side points to relational origin, not authority. Husbands are called to love sacrificially, not to control.
Teaching that a wife must obey her husband unconditionally opens the door to abuse, coercion, and spiritual manipulation.
True marriage in Scripture is mutual, Christ-centered, and built on self-giving care, trust, and respect. It is never about fear, dominance, or hierarchy.

Husbands and wives submit to one another as they submit to God. If either husband or wife wants their spouse to sin, then they must be corrected and not submit to that disobedience.

Christ Did it all on the cross and His Way is Best

If sin could lose us our salvation, then even the tiniest sinful thought would do it. Christ didn't come to die so that we would have to finish the work of salvation with our works. When we die, our body remains here while our soul goes to heaven because our body is sinful, our mind is still flesh, and we have to battle it constantly.

Ephesians 6:12 "12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

God also says that we must confess our sins to be cleansed, not to be save all over again. 1 John 1:9

1 John 1:9 "9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The more we confess the more we grow in holiness; it is in confessing that we are determined not to repeat the sin we are ashamed of.

I am convinced that when we confess the small things while they are still in our minds, we will become more deeply aware and resist the thought quickly; it will never become an action or destructive words.

1 John 3:8-10 "…8 The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this the children of God are distinguished from the children of the devil: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother."

Those who refuse to admit their sin, do not repent and even defend it, are those who have never been born again.

God will not leave His children in sin guilt free, they will be miserable until they confess it.

1 John 5:18 "We know that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning; the One who was born of God protects him, and the evil one cannot touch him."

Romans 6:2 "Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?"

1 Peter 2:24 "He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By His stripes you are healed.”

Time passed does not heal the broken relationship when sin is unconfessed. We know this because our unconfessed sins will be dealt with after our death.

Relationships do not heal from pretending enough time has passed. When disrespect continues the more trust is eroded until the time when someone admits the offense in sincere regret at the harm that was done.

Only humble apologies will heal a broken relationship. We live in a world that thinks all people have to do is say they believe in Jesus Christ and attend church without any remorse or shame over the sin in their lives.

James 5:16 "16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

Our broken relationship with Christ is not mended until we confess that we have a sinful nature and need to be transformed by Christ, trusting completely in Him.

In the same way, a broken relationship between people is not reconciled or mended until there is confession of wrong and a humble apology.

This humility and apology is the means to changed behavior. Without this, no change occurs.

God's way is always best for everyone!!!

No One Can Undo What God Has Done

No one can break the marriage covenant; they can only violate it. When God makes two people one in marriage, it is a spiritual gluing of two souls that is not severed until death, and no man can undo it. It is an act of God that makes two people one.

When anyone demeans the marriage covenant, they are not able to understand the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is not something we do or say; it is a work of Christ in us.

Ephesians 2:9-10 "…9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life."

Marriage is a picture of the relationship between Christ and the church. When Christ transforms a person who has trusted in Him, they are completely changed and can never be lost again.

We know that when a couple walks down the aisle as man and wife after their vows, they are still walking in two different bodies. When God said "the two shall become one", He was speaking in spiritual terms, glued together in spirit until one of them dies.

The two who have become one are one in purpose, each one with their own role to play that enhances and completes the other.

Genesis 2:24 "24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh."

This principle has nearly been completely lost in our culture. Since our culture has mixed paganism with Christianity, marriage has been denigrated and disrespected as though it were instituted by man.

Marriage was not instituted by man; it was given by God, completed by God, and for God's purposes.

When society has demoted the meaning of marriage to the level of man's thinking, all of the culture is ruined. Those who still see the value of God's melding of two souls will be disrespected and disregarded as inferior. And those who do not divorce and remarry defend those who do.

Years ago I attended a 40th high school reunion with a friend, hoping to reconnect with some friends I had in high school. The only friend there was the one I came with.

During the proceedings, the question was asked by the moderator, "Who here has been married the longest?" Then they threw out the number of years, and I was the one married the longest. The next question was, "Who has the most children?", and again I was the one with the most children, with only six.

Then the next question was shocking and demeaning! The question was asked, "Who has had the most divorces?" Hands were raised, and the question was answered as the people in the room laughed and celebrated those with the most marriages. More people who attended were divorced and remarried than were married a long time.

My guess was that those who had stable lives with intact families were the ones who did not attend. The ones who were in charge of the dinner were the ones who did not; those were the ones who set the tone for the gathering. I never went to another reunion after that, not because I was mocked for my stable life, but because the people were so ungodly that there was no one with whom to visit.

When people are in a crowd, the ones who are leaders of that crowd will set the mood and tone of that group. If there was anyone there other than me with a stable family life, they remained silent in all of it.

Sadly, that encounter with the high school reunion reminds me of many church gatherings today. Those who are liberal in their thinking about divorce and remarriage are the ones who set the agenda for the church.

Since the churches are based on a "hierarchy system", those who carry the weight of teaching promote things that are sins against God and those things which are culturally acceptable but demean God's Word.

This is a sad time for authentic believers, unable to easily find other Christians who hold the same values and who live as though they love Jesus Christ.

Most "Christians" today are playing at church as though it were a secular social club that validates them and makes them feel safe.
The unsafe people in the gatherings are those who insist on adhering to the word of God for all answers to life.

This country is in desperate need of wholesale repentance!!! It will not be able to stand under the weight of its sinful and rebellious attitude that has led to every form of sin.

Even those who have high opinions of themselves because they haven't committed the obvious sins. They are under the delusion that only the sins someone can see are important.

Their leniency about marriage and their acceptance of disrespecting Christians who bring the Bible forward as the standard is evidence of their inner heart of mutiny against God.

Someone can live a clean life on the outside while maintaining a rebellious and angry heart that they hide from everyone else.

Matthew 23:26-28 "26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness.
28 So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness."

May each one evaluate their own heart to see if their desire is authentically dedicated to God's Word. If there is a question about this the solution is easy; just ask God to reveal the inner heart and to remove all pride to be able to see His answer.

Simple: Just ask God to change the heart!!!!! Then the attitudes and actions will follow.
