Flattery makes people walk on egg shells fearful to disappoint those they may normally disagree with. Perhaps if the one who flatters learns we have differences they won't like us anymore. Flattery is dangerously disarming and manipulative, it cannot be trusted.
Proverbs 26:24-28
"Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling. A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin."
The angels do not carry the seed of humans. Just as a cat cannot mate with a dog and the cow cannot mate with a horse, neither do spirits mate with flesh.
Genesis 1:24-25 "24 And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, land crawlers, and wild animals according to their kinds.” And it was so. 25 God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that crawls upon the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.…"
Narcissists can not properly interpret what we say or do, not even facial expressions because they think that everyone thinks as they do.
They do not pay enough attention to others to know how to interpret words or actions.
A narcissist will not care to know anyone else to become close, they simply demand that everyone comply with their ways or they are rejected.
We see this in families, churches and politics.
This is not a matter of standing for righteousness, that's a different matter. Narcissists judge us a bad or evil if we do not follow their ideas that are not clearly defined in the Bible.
Often they extract passages of scripture from their context to justify what they wish to believe and then foist them on others as a matter of obedience or disobedience to God.
The narcissist leaves no freedom for others to view things differently from them, but mostly based on their own ideas not scriptural mandates or principles.
Those who attempt to bring scripture to the narcissist Christian will be met with rage and contempt. The subtle forms of these attitudes are seen in their dismissiveness of us, their silent treatment to punish and even mocking intimidation at times.
Never fear brothers and sisters, if you are doing what God has told you to do, walking in the Spirit and know what God has commanded you to say and do, then you are free to dismiss the rejection as being on the one who has chosen to attempt control over you.
These narcissistic tactics roll off of those who have eyes to see through spiritual discernment. However, it is an unpleasant experience to be in company with these self proclaimed guardians of tradition. We are free in Christ to avoid those who make a practice of judging our lives when the judgment is contrived and inaccurate.
Those of us who have been targets of jealous people love them even though they are mean, but we are not commanded to remain in their company, we have a choice to stay or to go unless it is marriage, then there is no choice. We can actually understand and know the tactics to be able to live with it day in and day out in peace.
May the Lord be the One to guide you as you seek Him for the specifics. Always look to yourself first to see what you might be doing. When you cannot see anything you have done, then leave the narcissist to the Lord and carry on to do what is right no matter what the response.
Preachers need to stop teaching foolishness and begin teaching holiness to believers and repentance to non-believers. So much of the worlds thinking has been incorporated into the church the important matters are nearly completely neglected.
Galatians 3:1-3
Faith Brings Righteousness
3 You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?
2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of ]the Law, or by hearing with faith?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun ]by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?"
Teaching heretical doctrine from books like the book of Enoch has led people away from Christ and into arrogance. The need to feel special and have secret knowledge is growing as the level of pride grows in our culture.
This really is not a matter of an unimportant matter, the disagreement about the Nephilim. It is a distraction to ruin our view of God's power and glory.
The devil is a counterfeiter for the purpose of negating God. God is the only One Who can supernaturally impregnate a woman as with Mary and Christ. The devil wants to make people believe that it was not a miracle of God the Father with Mary, that devils can do the same thing. The devil has been attempting to steal God's glory from their beginning.
