The stubborn heart does not learn, but the heart seeking after truth will learn many wonderful things, things God has for them.
James 1:4-6 "…4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.…"
If anyone lacks wisdom it is because they are not seeking God. Many people like their ignorance, hating the wisdom of God they resist the efforts of anyone to point them to Christ.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Our Choice of Friends Demonstrate Who We Are
It is vitally important that we choose constant companions who agree with us on which path to walk.
1 Corinthians 15:33
"33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”

Walking by Faith
Be on guard when you are told a "new" prophesy from someone because of a dream or vision.
God has given us all we need in His Word. We have no need to know the future, God will tell us what to do when it is needed.
2 Corinthians 5:7
"7 For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Trust the Big Question
What we think is so hard for us makes us stronger if we lean into Christ.
Let Christ tell you the truth, love everyone and trust no one but Christ.
When we trust Him, He will tell us when we can trust someone else.
Let Christ tell you the truth, love everyone and trust no one but Christ.
When we trust Him, He will tell us when we can trust someone else.
We Are There Now Folks
2 Timothy 3:1-5
"3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."
I probably could not count the number of times I quoted or have written this passage. The thing I notice the most in our time, over all the other attitudes in that litany of character flaws in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, is the lack of natural affection, the total lack of love.
Everyone seems to be so engrossed in their own little world of technology that they are offended by any interruption from it.
People are not very important to one another anymore. They are only interested in others to the extent that the others enhance their own existence.
I have met a handful of kind and loving people, but mostly, very few care about anyone else.
We truly are living out the 2 Timothy 3 passage right now, along with many other prophesies, this one is the one that is in our face day after day, day in and day out.

Glamour the American Obsession
Glamour is a word that comes from Old English having to do with black magic.
Glamour as we view it today in magazines and on television or movies, is designed to entice the one watching.
The purpose of "Glamour" is to tempt the one viewing it.
Glamour is all around us, in everything everywhere we go. The merchants use glamour to sell just about anything in our world today, from cars to toys, nothing is exempt from this.
When we see "glamour" we assume something is good, we love to see it and even want to be like those who are glamorous. If you doubt that most people desire to be glamorous, just take a look at the fashion and cosmetic industries.
Our world views glamour as a good thing, they flock to stores that provide the means by which we can be like those movie stars or other famous people.
Glamour comes in many forms, one of the ways it has crept into our Christian culture is the promotion of "exercise" that claims to be for health, but really has more to do with appearances than health.
Walking is a normal and daily response to life, but running and heavy exercise is rooted in the obsession to remain young, either through appearance or by the continuous adventure activities that make us seem strong and exciting.
When we are focused on Christ we are not obsessed by remaining young, in fact we are content and happy to build our minds and spirits rather than our bodies. When Christ walks with us daily, we have little need for continual adventure or excessive appearance enhancement.
Our culture has moved beyond normal life activities to take care of our temples, placing appearances far above substance.
Matthew 23:27-28
"27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness."

Astrology is Devilish
There are many "church people" who don't think they do anything against the Lord, while at the same time indulging in astrology. Many check their horoscope every morning, actually looking for signs that they will be getting something exciting that day.
Indulging in astrology is engaging in occult practices. The word "occult" means "hidden darkness", it is associated with demons in the spiritual world.
We are not to be interacting with the demon world, we are to be fighting against them with truth and obedience to Christ.
Ephesians 6:12
"12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
When a believer is looking at astrology and their horoscope with pleasure and expectation, they are enjoying evil. Not only are they enjoying evil, they are spitting in the face of God that tells us not to be a part of demonic practices.
2 Corinthians 6:14-17
"14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Isaiah 30:9-11 "…9 For this is a rebellious people, false sons, Sons who refuse to listen To the instruction of the LORD;
10 Who say to the seers, "You must not see visions"; And to the prophets, "You must not prophesy to us what is right, Speak to us pleasant words, Prophesy illusions.
11 "Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel."…
Leviticus 19:26 "26 You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor practice divination or soothsaying."
Leviticus 20:6
“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."
The same people who claim to be Christians will check their horoscope every day will rarely pick up a Bible. They prefer to get information from the demonic world while negating the parts of God's Word they do not like.
Jeremiah 7:26-28 "…26"Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers.
27"You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you; and you shall call to them, but they will not answer you. 28"You shall say to them, 'This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the LORD their God or accept correction; truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.…"
I hope that someone who has been indulging in demonic practices thinking they fun, will begin to think about what they are doing while asking God to remove their desires from these things.
How do we remove the desire for sinful things? It's simple, ask for wisdom while immersing yourselves in the Word of God. God's Word cleanses from sin, the more we know about the mind of God, the more we desire of His wisdom.
Ephesians 5:26
"26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,"
God said that He will set His face against anyone who uses seers and necromancers or fortune tellers.
Warning: anyone who comes here to defend demonic practices will have their comments deleted and perhaps even they will be blocked. I am not interested in "equal time" here, truth is truth and there will be no acceptance of another view on this matter.
