Confession then Forgiveness this is the Order
Nowadays people discourage one another from confessing by teaching forgiveness without confession.
James 5:16 " 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail. "
Relationships cannot be healed without confession of sin. Confession of sin is not just saying "I'm sorry", its actually confessing what was done and asking forgiveness. This is not easy for the very proud.
Hebrews 13:18
"Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly."
