There are "conservatives" who are not born again. They view everything from the standpoint of how to fix things in a worldly manner by the power of man.
The born-again Christian should view things continually through the lens of the Bible. They do not worry about what is going on in the world because they stand on the promises of God. Yes, the do hate the sin they see but their burden is much more for the souls of people who are headed to hell. They want to help others to see Christ.
Those who think in worldly terms are not focused on souls on their way to hell, they are focused on pressuring others to do things their way, not necessarily God's plan.
Those who seek Christ in all things are not stressed by all that is going on because God explained what is going to happen and that He wins in the end.
Bringing Christ to the lost as well as encouraging the born-again believer to keep their eyes fixed on Christ should be the center of all discussions.
It is not "witnessing" to corner people and tell them all the things wrong with the world and what they should do to become more in line with conservative thinking.
Witnessing Christ is when we tell the unsaved their need for Christ because they are sinners and how easy it is to trust in Him. Yes, it costs them something but what they gain is far more than anything they believe they will lose.
1 Corinthians 1:21
"For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe."
Let's be honest, it is not embarrassing to share our political views but it can be embarrassing to speak the name of Jesus Christ to those who need to hear. The chance of rejection is greater when mentioning Christ than merely stating our political views.
Often I see believers speaking far more about politics and other worldly concerns than they do about the saving power of the cross and the name of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:14
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
1 Corinthians 2:2
"For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified."
Where is your priority? Is it Christ or is it safety while on this earth? We all have to choose!
