Narcissists Live a Vivid Fantasy Life

Narcissists will interpret us the way they wish to see us not the way we are in reality, they are jealous and competitive!

This is why they feel so free to judge people about minor things or even judge people about big things that never happened by guessing what is going on without proof.

They have no shame when it comes to guesses about others. This is the reason they are so guarded in their own lives because they are fearful that someone will hear their own stories and do the same thing to them.

When a narcissist guesses what they think may have happened to someone or judge someone's attitude without a detailed description of words and deeds we know they are doing it again.....gossiping without cause.

The best thing to do is to avoid those who gossip, refrain from believing or commenting on anything they say, and assume you don't have the entire story.

Disagreements and jealousy is are big factors in the reasons narcissists malign others. They cannot tolerate that someone else thinks differently or that someone else is happy and content, they must do something to ruin their joy even if it is through gossip to turn others against them.

2 Timothy 3 clearly describes the heart of the narcissist and commands us in verse five to avoid them.

Humiliation is a Good Thing

Did you know that the word "humiliation" comes from the Latin word that means "dirt (Humus) meaning earth or ground." When someone tries to humiliate us, are they treating us like dirt? Here's the thing, it is compared to God that we are dirt. Every human being even those who think they are special are only dirt like all the rest of us.

It really does make sense because God said we are to humble ourselves, meaning we are to remember we are just dirt and when we die our bodies return to dirt.

Anyone who has a high opinion of their own value needs to learn we are only valuable to God because He created us, not because of anything wonderful within ourselves. His creation is wonderful because of Him, not because of us.

It does not bother me in the least to know that I am so far beneath God that I am dirt, made from the clay of the earth. It reminds me that only God is special and it is only His work in born-again believers that is good. All our talents and personalities come from Him.

When we realize someone is treating us like dirt we ought to be able to laugh, since dirt is calling other dirt, dirt! ROFL

When we are humble we have no need to feel special or superior in any way. We know that we came from dirt and that only God is good, leaving our focus completely on His goodness and not our own.

Just because we are dirt and unworthy of God's love even though He loved us more than we can imagine, does not give us freedom to treat others disrespectfully. We don't treat people respectfully because they are special, we treat them respectfully because Christ gave us His heart when we became born-again and we love others as He loved us.

No one deserves love, we do love others because Christ loved us and to show His character to our fellow man.

1 John 4:10: "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins."

1 John 4:11 "Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another."

James 4:10
"10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you."

God never said that we should exalt ourselves or that anyone else should exalt us, He told us to humble ourselves and He will exalt us in His timing His way.
Our job is to think humbly about ourselves, that we are dirt and will return to dirt, but that Christ is everything all the time and because we love Him we will love others as much as we are born loving ourselves.

Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 Upon these two commandments [b]hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”

It is only if we love God above all that we will be able to love others the way He loved us.

Self-esteem teaching focuses on self-love so we can be special, this is the opposite of what God teaches in His Word. Do not follow the ways of the world, reject self-love and embrace humility that allows us to love God first and everyone else.

The biggest lie satan told was that we cannot love others if we do not love ourselves first. God told us we are born loving ourselves too much, that if we loved others as much as we love ourselves we would place them above ourselves.

In order to remain true to the Word of God we must question all the things people say while going to the Scriptures to see if they are true. Many mantras and sayings people use are not Biblical and work against Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 "…10 and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. 11 For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie, 12i n order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness.…"

Many Christians will fight against the teaching that self-esteem is from the devil because they like feeling special and making others focus on their own abilities and talents that were given to them by God. Instead of praising God, they praise themselves.

John 12:40
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.”
One who loves Christ will all their heart will be completely comfortable knowing that there is no good in them, but Christ alone is good.
Hallelujah!!!!
