1 Timothy 2:3-5 "…3 This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,…"
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

The Kittens That Come
1 Timothy 2:3-5 "…3 This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,…"
States that are Burning
Is anyone going to see the significance of this? Two of the most liberal states on the west coast!
America Repent!
The upside-down flag is a symbol of a nation in distress. There is no better time than now to fly the flag in this way.
Our nation is being torn apart but not by the anarchists that are tearing down statues and setting buildings on fire. Our nation is being torn apart by the sin that dwells within it everywhere all the time. God is merely using wicked people to punish us for our sin of rebellion.
When a nation rejects God and His son Jesus Christ God removes His hand of protection and brings consequences. In the case of the consequences we are seeing right now there is no returning to safety. There is no fixing what is broken except repentance toward God about our sin as a nation and trusting in Jesus Christ.
No president or any other leader can fix what is wrong in our nation. Each individual must turn to Christ in repentance desiring to have their heart changed by Him.
We see lots of "patriots" angered by the anarchy ready to fight against their foes but we do not see them bringing the gospel to the people. The patriots want our nation to go back to what it was as though it was once a good nation.
It was good in the sense that we had the freedom to do as we pleased but the nation used that freedom to grow deeper and deeper into sin. If the mantra of the patriots is "freedom" then they have missed the whole point.
There is only true freedom in Christ and without Him, the nation will implode as it is doing now. God will not bless a nation that hates Him.
John 14:15-16 " 15If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—…"
John 14:21
Whoever has My
commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will
be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him."
Getting and keeping a
country free is not the objective of a Christin who is born again. The objective
is to bring Christ to those who are lost that they might be saved from hell.
John 14:23
"Jesus replied,
"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we
will come to him and make Our home with him."
1 John 2:3
"By this we can
be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments."
Is God angry with
this nation as a whole......You bet He is and the blessing will not come to the
nation. It will only come to individuals who bow the knee to Him in repentance.
Psalm 7:11 "God
judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day."
God had already
blessed this nation because of the believers who dwelt here. Since those who
say they are Christians have profaned the Word of God and disregarded it, He
has lifted His hand of protection from the nation.
The unbelievers
benefited from the Christian's faith who lived in this country, but even those
who say they are Christians have defiled it disregarding God, He has now
removed His covering shield.
Do not shout anymore; "God Bless America", how dare we demand more blessing when we did not appreciate it when it was plentiful.
Our mantra today
ought to be "America Repent", this is the only phrase we ought to be
repeating over and over again.
Perhaps the Fires will make People Ponder Eternity
Across the river, from us in Oregon, we are hearing about towns I grew up around that are going to be wiped out because of the two fires that are raging toward one another ready to merge into one horrific firestorm, headed toward those towns.
The wind died down some but if it had not they predicted that the massive fire would have reached Portland Oregon in a matter of an hour where we grew up. Portland and Gresham together make up a population of about 1.5 million people.
I don't know what has happened since this report last night as we were traveling up the freeway from Vancouver WA. We had dinner there for my birthday. On the way home, we spotted a grass fire along the freeway and called the police to report it. They had already been alerted by others who saw it.
The dispatcher didn't even let me talk as she answered the phone. She said quickly, "are you calling to report a fire on" and she named exactly where I was on the road because of tracking on my cell phone. I answered yes mam and we hung up.
There were no lightning storms, nothing along the freeway that could have started that fire. It must have been man-caused.
Some of the fires were caused by wind-breaking power lines that ignited sparks, and others were caused by human carelessness.
We see now the kinds of trials that seem to be increasing during these end times. We have always had fires at this time of year but never like this!
My prayer is that God will protect the believers and cause the unbelievers to evaluate their need for Christ.
James 1:2-8 This is the perspective of a born again believer!
"2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."
Those who do not know Christ might want to appeal to Him to have this salvation and perspective. May all those who do not know Him during this tumultuous time turn to Him in repentance.
