Christ Controls Us Not Men

The world sees our confidence as a threat to them because they cannot control us. Christ controls us, not men!

Entire Families and Entire Cultures

As I was pondering recently that it seemed to be entire families and the entire culture that had become narcissistic, I was sort of in shock at it all.

For the last few years I have been noticing the rejection of truth and the absence of love and kindness, once again I was shocked that it was so widespread.

Then as I prayed and pondered the Lord reminded me of Sodom and Gomorrah when the Lord had to destroy the entire 5 cities of the plain, in other words "entire families and entire cultures."

As I pondered further I was reminded that God had to destroy the entire earth in a flood because the wickedness of man was so intense that the only recourse was to start over again with one family.

Titus 1:12-13 "12 As one of their own prophets has said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” 13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sternly, so that they will be sound in the faith…"

Once again I was reminded that an entire culture, the Cretans were declared lazy gluttons and evil beasts.

The realization that what is happening now is nothing new and has been happening since the time of Christ somehow it comforted me, that nothing unusual was happening than what had been happening since creation, only this time it was culminating toward the end of the end. All the history of the world is coming to a climax, all of the prophesy is being fulfilled and we are watching it play out before our very eyes.

Yes, entire families and entire cultures all over the world have turned against God, against His people the Jews, His country Israel, and against Christians.

Why is it comforting to realize all this? I think it is comforting because God assured us it would be this way but that we would be able to remain faithful and strong to Christ in the midst of it.

Just as Lot was taken out of the cities of the plains, Noah was rescued from the flood and we will be taken from the earth before God's wrath, we see the light at the end of the tunnel. In all the darkness, meanness, and rudeness we know there will be an end to it all and God's glory will be seen.

We are on a rough journey right now with darkness and chaos all around us, but as we travel the narrow road our Spirit is protected no matter what comes at us, God deflects the devil's arrows and we remain unharmed by them, even becoming stronger with each miracle of protection.

Ephesians 6: 15-17 "…15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

We keep seeking Christ for truth, we keep speaking truth, and we Christ keeps deflecting arrows and we will come out the other side of the darkness stronger and more resolute to follow Christ.

Then.....we will meet together at the marriage supper of the Lamb celebrating our wedding with Christ and everyone who loved His appearing.

2 Timothy 4:8 "

"in the future there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing."

Hallelujah!!!! Our deliverance is soon!
