How Do You Read The Bible?

“Man prefers to believe what he prefers to be true.” — Francis Bacon

Sadly many people who read the Bible read it this way!

Not Under Law But Love It

When we become born again we are no longer under the condemnation of the Law but the Law Giver now lives in us. We love His law it is not hard to obey, it is a light burden because we embrace and enjoy obeying God.

Romans 8:1 "Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

Matthew 11:30 ""For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

When someone fights and argues to be able to sin because they are under grace, probably have never experienced salvation because they still love their sin.

John 14:15 ""If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."

Psalm 119:97 "O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day."

If you want to understand this principle more fully go and read all the verses in their context, it is comforting for those who are born again but convicting to those who are not but only think they are Christians.

"Come Out From Among Them"

It is hard to find a fellowship that loved the Lord above all else.

We Cannot Grow Without Christ

We will grow in direct proportions to how much we read the Word, ask God for wisdom and obey what He tells us.

James 4:1-10
"1 What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?
2 You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it [d]on your pleasures.
4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”?
6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
9 Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you."
