Amen, Amen, when I see posts like this my thoughts go to what is coming for those who love Christ, new bodies, streets of gold and most of all following Christ around asking all the questions that are not yet answered. This life is so short and our eternal blessings are great.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Who Do You Trust for Salvation?
Those who believe we must "do" something to be saved and that we must "keep doing things" to stay saved have placed their trust in themselves not Christ.
They lack faith that Christ can change us, grow us and keep us saved, they fear if they do not "do" something they will miss salvation, their trust is still in themselves.

Serving Christ is the Greatest Freedom of All
Those who believe we must "do" something to be saved and that we must "keep doing things" to stay saved have placed their trust in themselves not Christ. They lack faith that Christ can change us, grow us and keep us saved, they fear if they do not "do" something they will miss salvation, their trust is still in themselves.
Ephesians 2:8-9
"8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
It is human nature to want to feel proud of ourselves for our own lifestyle, Christianity is no different for many people. They literally "pride" themselves in how good they think they are and how much better than others they may be.
These self-righteous ones continually judge others for insignificant things to feel superior to them. They are also very secretive about themselves out of fear they will be discovered. Self-righteous people parade their pride as though they think it is a strength when it is a weakness.
Those who are humble have no need to feel superior to others or judge others on the smallest matters. They have no desire to "guess" what someone else might be doing or to even know what others are doing unless it is a blatant sin.
Never mistake humility for weakness, it is power under control and the strength of the Holy Spirit in someone's life.
Those who are authentically themselves do not fear being discovered, they are secure in what is right and confess what is wrong openly to those who love Christ. Because they are strong they are able to confess their flaws openly without fear of shame. They know they are not perfect and that Spiritual growth is needed throughout the life of a believer.
Those who think they never fall are lying, they fall often mostly in attitudes of pride and superiority but because their sin seems small compared to others they think they have no sin. These people walk in fear of being discovered so they act like "junk yard dogs", easily raging at anyone who does not buy into their narrative about themselves.
Proverbs 6:16-19 "There are six things that the Lord hates,
Seven that are an abomination to Him:
17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
And hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that run rapidly to evil,
19 A false witness who declares lies,
And one who spreads strife among brothers."
There are those who spread strife by making rules that God never made. One of those rules is that the woman should not be speaking or teaching spiritual principles to boys and men. Timothy, as a man was instructed by his mother and grandmother. If we can find an example in God's word that makes a manmade principle wrong then we go with God.
There are those who teach that the authority in the family is only the father, but God teaches that the authority in the family over children is both the mother and the father and they should support one another in the effort to train the children.
Proverbs 6:20-21
"My son, comply with the commandment of your father,
And do not ignore the teaching of your mother;
21 Bind them continually on your heart;
Tie them around your neck.
22 When you walk, they will guide you;
When you sleep, they will watch over you;
And when you awake, they will talk to you."
God expects obedience to the word of God as He gave it in context with the rest of Scripture. If anyone teaches "verse by verse" they are negating much of the Bible and very often changing God's meaning to fit the culture.
I am personally thankful for all the things God has taught me in the last few years that caused me to walk away from cultural Christianity with all its manmade rules and expectations.
Walking with Christ is a delight full of freedom to express who I am in Him. The world around me is spinning out of control, people are deeply insecure even in the apostate churches to the point they must control those who attend their gatherings. It is no longer about each person using their gift being supported by the others, but it is a one-man leader dictating to everyone what he expects as he twists scriptures to maintain control.
When the Holy Spirit is in control in our lives we are not in bondage to human thinking or pressures. If we walk alone in this we are freer than if we comply with the group-think of the apostate churches.
2 Timothy 4:3
"3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"
1 Timothy 4:1-2
"Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, / influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron."
When we are free in Christ we can live according to His principles with great joy even if we do it alone.
Hallelujah!!!!
