The attitude of contempt is just as serious to God as anything we might DO against someone out of contempt.
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Contempt in the Heart is Serious
Sin in the heart is so much more serious than people realize. Most people see the act of hatred worse than the inner attitude of hatred and yet God sees them exactly the same.
The attitude of contempt is just as serious to God as anything we might DO against someone out of contempt.

Facing Sin
It is common for those in sin to become enraged when they have to face the reality of it.
Those who love their sin are not free to allow others to uphold their own convictions, they must intimidate and manipulate with guilt for standing up for righteousness.
This is the life we choose, it is the life Christ told us we would have to endure, He also told us to count it all joy when we are reviled, it means we have a clear conscience, which is far more valuable than being accepted by man.
James 1:2-8
"2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

The Church is not a Hospital
The church is not a hospital, the church is the people who gather together to worship God. When we come together we are to observe the Lord's supper and to have already confessed sin before we gather.
The righteous are righteous because of Christ, we become well from becoming born again, it is in the Spiritual.
Those who are not yet born again and deeply invested in their sin, should not be in our worship. When they become born again because someone gave them the gospel and they repented, then that person will come to the gathering as a believer who has been changed into a new creation.
Unbelievers cannot worship our God, they can only water down our worship, often causing trouble in the body because they are not interested in the principles of God, nor are they interested in holiness.
If a gathering of believers wants to hold a gospel service for non-believers that is fine, but they should not come into our worship, that is for worship alone and often includes the building up of the saints, to equip them to go out into the world with the gospel. These times are not for those who hate our God.
Perhaps the modern church uses the building where the church meet on worship day because they are too fearful and lazy to go into the world around them with the gospel.
Our modern apostate churches have endorsed and promoted worldly gatherings watered down to make the unsaved happy, turning the gatherings into events that rival night clubs.
2 Corinthians 5:16-18 "…16 What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” 17 “Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” 18 And: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”…"

Dangerously Placing Trust in a President
I am grieved that many believers are placing their trust in a man who says he will do certain things for them, speaking of our President Trump.
For instance, he talks about building a wall, fixing the finances, placing the embassy in Jerusalem, expelling immigrants who are illegal and many other things we would like. However, he has not said one word about doing away with pornography, he has not outlawed abortion, he loves Norman Vincent Peale, he calls him his mentor, he aligns himself with prosperity preachers, he is on his third wife after two affairs and two divorces. He is not a man to emulate, nor is he a man who will bring rightousness to our nation. The people remain as wicked as always in their acceptance of all these evils, while he promises to give us things that don't even matter in terms of righteouness.
He has said all the things greed pleasure seeking people want to hear and nothing that promotes righteousness.
There you have it in a nutshell, my objections are not to God's appointment, they are objections to Christians thinking he is a wonderful man who will save America.
America is going down if for no other reason than the murder of 60+ million babies and the population is not going to repent. I know this because of all the fighting and arguing Christians do when we come against divorce and remarriage. They are all over it when its about abortion, but remain in sin continually with their defensiveness toward divorce and remarriage.
This nation does not care about righteousness, they only care about their personal right to sin and their finances, Trump is giving them that. I do not praise him, I accept him as appointed by God to deceive the people and lead us down the rose colored path to further destruction spiritually.
I am convinced now that Trump is a demonstration of a pre-curser to the deception of the anti-christ. He is promising the moon but leading us further from righteousness as the people focus on themselves over and over again day after day. Their focus is a leader that will give them what they want, without actually delivering, only pretending to deliver and not even that which leads the people to Christ or righteousness.
Do not, I beg you, do not place your trust in a man who does not love Christ.

Listen to the Verbiage
An imam in Texas on the radio was promoting killing of Jews by quoting the Koran, then came back later and apologized for "saying it", he never apologized for believing such a wicked thing, only that he said it.
Welcome to the world of the narcissist, they are never sorry for what they do or believe only that they got caught and it was not accepted.
Listen to the verbiage: "I am sorry I said it", others are "I am sorry that hurt your feelings", or "I am sorry YOU took that the wrong way."
The verbiage of the narcissist always places the blame on the other person, covertly enough that most empaths do not catch it.
When we take responsibility for our own things we use language like this: "I am so sorry I hurt you." or "I should never have done that foolish thing", how about "I can be a real stinker sometimes."
See the difference, the narcissist never takes full blame for his own actions, words or attitudes, while the empath cannot stand harming others, take full blame and make it right to restore the relationship.
The narcissist has no concern about restoring anything except their own elevated image, they care nothing about the welfare of others. The empath desires to restore the relationships, because of their love for others.
Here is how to recognize what is in yourself, do you hope to be recognized for your good deeds or does this not come to mind at all, while you are thinking about those in need rather than self?
By the way: broadcasting your good deeds on facebook or twitter is a way of bragging. These grandiose displays of pride are unnecessary, all that is necessary is that we obey Christ, no one else has to know what we do.
Matthew 25:31-46
31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.
32 All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;
33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’
37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?
38 And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?
39 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;
43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’
44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’
45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Matthew 5:1-2 "1 Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be praised by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their reward.…"

Those Who are Mean to the Brethren
Remember if you are mean to the Brethren, you might be hearing this:
Matthew 25:40-41 "40 And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’ 41 Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.…"

Which Will You Be
A peacekeeper just wants to be liked by everyone!
A peacemaker wants everything to be made right!
A peacemaker wants everything to be made right!
Peacemaker vs Peacekeeper
A peacemaker is far different from a peacekeeper. A peacemaker gets to the root of the problem to cut out the rot for someone to be made new. The peacekeeper merely place a bandage on a gaping wound to avoid the difficult responses that might ensue.
His Shed Blood for Us
Christ showed the greatest love. Speaking truth that others might trust in Him and be saved. It cost Him His life!
The Greater Love
The greater love is in telling the truth knowing that if they listen it will be a lifelong blessing to them.
The Marriage of Faith and Humility
Francis Frangipane Said This:
The Marriage of Faith and Humility
We cannot advance spiritually without the virtues of faith and humility walking together. When either is isolated from the other, our walk becomes unbalanced. Faith without humility degrades into presumption, while humility isolated from faith can become oppressive. We need both.
Scriptures tell us that without faith it is impossible to please God and that whatever is done without faith is sin (Heb. 11:6; Rom. 14:23). God gives promises, and it is faith that possesses them. Yet what faith possesses, humility surrenders.
Consider Christ: there will be a time when every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Phil. 2:10-11). The kingdoms of this world will finally become the kingdom of our Lord (Rev. 11:15). However, Christ's reaction to subduing the world is that He then "hands over the kingdom to the . . . Father" (1 Cor. 15:24). This is the humility of Christ: what He conquers, He then surrenders.
In America we want faith to conquer, but we're not sure we want the second part, giving it back to God. Yet this is the pattern of those who have followed God: Abraham has faith and believes God and, in time, the promised son is born. Yet at the command of God, Abraham, in worshipful surrender, takes Isaac to a mountain and there actually surrenders him back to God. David conquers Jerusalem then dedicates it to the Lord, calling it the "city of God." Or consider Hannah who was barren, who bears a child, Samuel, but then surrenders Samuel to God (1 Sam. 1). I pray for my city, not so I can possess it, but so I can give it back to God. Whatever we gain by faith, to grow into maturity, we must surrender as an offering back to God.
This is the great mystery, one that I believe holds within itself a key to the power of God working in our lives: what we give over to God, He takes over. He multiplies the loaves and fish. so He will multiply our resources as we surrender our treasures to God, where neither moth not dust corrupts (Matt. 6:20).
You see, our goal is not only to create a better life here for ourselves but, through faith and humility, to extend the Kingdom of God into our world (Matt. 6:10). Faith brings Heaven's provisions to Earth; our surrender brings God's presence into those provisions, multiplies them, and makes them a blessing to many.

Our Response to Correction Tells on Us!
It is not the trials in our life that are the problem, but rather it is our response to them that makes all the difference.
Trials show us what is inside, if our response is rage and revenge, then the Lord still has more work to do.
A snotty response to correction is rage and it is revenge to act superior to the one who brings correction and rebuke.
2 Timothy 4:2-3 " 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.…"
Those who are too arrogant to listen to correction or rebuke, are walking in pride and rebellion against truth. When the truth is taken from the Scripture, those that buck against it are like wild stallions raging against good sense.
