We might be stunned if we could see all the devils whispering in the ears of people and those who are living inside of people. We are living in irrational times, times when reason and love do not exist in most people.
The new definition of love is allowing anyone to sin without challenge. Good is called bad and bad is called good. Of course, this is not loving at all, but many people think it is even if they don't say so they act in ways that demonstrate this false love.
1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Who is the devil going after in these last days? The answer is everyone. If he can distract the believers from thinking about Christ he can weaken their witness. If he can isolate the believer from their source of comfort and advocates he can further weaken them.
If the devil can keep unbelievers distracted with their prosperity or their trials he can keep them from meeting Christ.
If the devil can make people "feel" sad and despondent he can distract them from hearing the gospel. He can make them feel angry toward those who speak truth.
If the devil can get believers to fight with one another they will neglect their mission of sharing and living out the gospel in their communities.
If the devil can bring fear into the minds of the weak believers he can effectively remove the Christian witness in these times right before Christ comes for His church.
The tactics of the devil are many and varied, but if we know the word of God intimately his devices will have no effect on us. We may not be able to see the devils but we can see their effects.
James 4:6-8 "6 But He gives us more grace. This is why it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.…"
Hallelujah the answer right there in James!!!!

Leaning into Feelings will Lead to Hell
When a culture has been taught to lean into their feelings without thinking, they will never learn to think rationally or analytically.
There was a man who was suing a police department because a police dog bit his child. There was no real evidence of this but there had to be an investigation.
The police chief was concerned about the accusation against his favorite dog so he went to visit the dog and see if he would be capable of biting someone.
The police chief's emotional attachment to the dog assumed the dog could not have done this.
The DCPI for the police chief was unnerved by the fact that the chief had gone to visit the dog. The chief did not understand why the DCPI was upset at that maneuver.
Then the DCPI explained himself; since he was the man in charge of media perception he was concerned about how it would look. The police chief enquired further as to why this was a problem.
The DCPI explained how this would look in the media: "police dog bites boy, Police Commissioner visits dog."
Had the Police Chief thought things through and allowed the investigators to do their job he would not have followed his feelings and visited the dog.
Our culture is rampant with emotional outbursts of rage because people are not stopping to reason through things. They are not open to discussion to come to a consensus because everyone has been taught; "if they feel it, it must be true."
If the people who have been trained to believe feelings carry more weight than the truth they are easily manipulated by others, even the powers that be, can make them feel better about going over a cliff.
The people will feel safe as they plummet to their destruction. This is what will be happening during the tribulation. The antichrist will do lying wonders, not real miracles but illusions that the people love to see causing them to base their decisions on what they think they see and hear.
I recall a demonstration on the internet in which a man had placed a half of a banana in the dirt with half of the kiwi fruit. The man was showing how a "banana kiwi" could be grown if they were placed together touching their cut parts.
Many people believed this foolishness and some actually attempted it only to end up with half of the rotten banana and half of the rotten kiwi fruit.
I showed the video to someone and they were going to go home and try it. I explained that it was impossible. The person loved the idea of growing a banana that would look like kiwi on the inside. I could not convince them it was not possible because they wanted to believe it. Even though basic knowledge of science would prove this was silly, they preferred to believe something that was not true.
This is what we can expect in the tribulation. The antichrist will defy basic intelligence and claim things that are not true but because the people like to believe it and they have been trained to follow their feelings instead of truth, they will be led over the cliff into Satan's dominated world, the tribulation and after that hell.
2 Thessalonians 2:8-10
8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,
10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved."
Those who refuse to listen to the truth will be sucked into the vortex of wickedness thinking they will be safe. In the first three and a half years they will feel safe, there will be peace and lying wonders to entice the people to take his mark, "666" on their hand or forehead.
After that time the next three and a half years will be the most terrifying the world has ever seen. Even the leaders of the earth will try to escape the evil unleashed but they will not be able to. Only those who have trusted Christ during this time will be able to be protected by God.
You see, this man who claims to be Christ will be the devil inhabiting a man's body. Sadly many people who think they are Christians will follow this false Christ. Those who love to elevate and worship men and leaders will take the mark of this man pledging allegiance to him as their god.
There will be some people, mainly the nation of Israel who will become born again during this time. These are the ones who will be martyred and some protected by God. Everyone else who takes this mark of the beast will go to hell with him when it is over. The beast and all his followers will go into the lake of fire forever.
Revelation 9:3-10
3 Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
5 And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man.
6 And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them.
7 The appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads appeared to be crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.
8 They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.
9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to battle.
10 They have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men for five months."
Revelation 6
The First Seal—Rider on White Horse
"6 Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, “Come.”
2 I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer."
The Second Seal—War
3 When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come.”
4 And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
The Third Seal—Famine
5 When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
6 And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.”
The Fourth Seal—Death
"7 When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come.”
8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth."
The Fifth Seal—Martyrs
"9 When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained;
10 and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
11 And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.
The Sixth Seal—Terror
12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;
13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.
14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;
16 and they *said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

"He who has too many friends has none!"
A saying I heard recently really resonated with me. I notice that those who have many friends tend to be superficial using much flattery and compliance to ideas they might not otherwise agree with, to maintain those friendships.
When a born again believer is sharing Christ they begin to lose friends. People may still like them but those people will keep their distance. Even acting as if they are afraid of the one who walks with Christ.
Those who are born again connect with one another immediately. They sense the Spirit of God in one another. There is no apprehension or trepidation, only sweet fellowship.
I have met a few people like this in my lifetime, there is no sense that one has to walk on eggshells or that one has to remain silent about what they think to maintain fellowship. Each one is relaxed and genuine, it is truly sweet fellowship. And we find that we agree with one another on almost everything with an occasional and rare exception. When a friend offends their friend they have a desire to make things right, they love their friend too much to let the infraction go, it must be cleared away.
When we disagree we respect one another's right to think their way. We are open and honest but not judgmental about things that are not sin.
Proverbs 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother."
I have friends like this, I don't get to see them very often but when I do communicate with them it is as if no time had passed from the last time we were together.
Disagreements with friends do not end the friendship it only enhances the discussion. When there is love there is an allowance for differences and personalities. Only hate and contempt brings disrespect over a mere disagreement.
Proverbs 17:17
17 A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity.
John 15:12-13
Disciples’ Relation to Each Other
12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
When we lay down our lives for others we are laying down our right to influence our fiend to our way of thinking, allowing them to be who they are when it is not about sin.
Even when our friend sins we grieve and hope to influence them not to sin, but we do not act in pride and superiority. Our attempts to bring them back to obeying God is out of our deep love for them, not merely to show them how good we are and how wrong they are, it is to rescue them. Narcissists confront people or attempt to shame them in order to elevate themselves, this is not loving, in fact it is devilish.
I once encountered someone who loved to beat down a repenting sinner with words like; "why did you do it." An attitude like this makes no sense when someone is repenting. We ought to be restoring and weeping with the repentant sinner. It is a joy that someone is confessing to be cleansed.
The "Why did you do it?" question is nothing more than beating down a broken heart a little more for the purpose of self-elevation. Someone who does this has to believe they have never sinned or they would understand that someone who is repenting with tears is sincere and ready to live differently.
The one who asks such a foolish question as "why did you do it" lacks good sense. There is only one answer to this foolish question and that is this: "I wanted to do it", what other reason could there be than this?
We sin because we want to do something that is pleasurable to us. Repenting openly demonstrates a desire to be forgiven and cleansed to carry on to greater holiness.
The one who asks "why did you do it" fails to realize that they are violating Scripture in asking the question. Here is what God says about it:
James 1:14-15
"But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully grown, brings forth death."
Galatians 6:1-2 "Carry One Another's Burdens
1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.…"
Our instructions are to weep with those who weep and restore the broken-hearted by encouraging them they have been forgiven. A friend desires to help a brother up when they fall and walk with them to support them further.
Romans 12:15
"15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep."
Since the narcissist is gleeful that their brother or sister has fallen they do not have love or empathy for their repentance.
The narcissist never admits they ever needed to confess their sin, even though they often sin because of their pride. They see themselves as worthy of worship therefore fully able to condemn a repentant sinner, after all, in their own mind they never were a sinner. Those who think this way cannot be born again. Every person who becomes born again must come broken over their own sinfulness. If they did this then they would understand and be kind and empathetic toward the confessing person.
Those who have repented and wept over their sin were forgiven by God and cleansed. The narcissist was never cleansed, remains in their sin, and cannot be forgiven because they will not confess.
1 John 1:9 "
"9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Those who are forgiven are those who confess their sin often, and quickly, these people grow in holiness but the narcissist never grows past infancy because their view of self is elevated far above reality. They remain in their sin as long as they remain focused on how bad the others are and how special they are.
Proverbs 28:25-26 "…25 A greedy man stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper. 26 He who trusts in himself is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe. "
Those who are trusting in their own goodness while condemning others they think are inferior remain in their sin, perhaps even on their way to hell.

Seek Christ in Honesty
Those who read the Bible to see what they can get away with or justify through loopholes are not seeking Christ. They will be held responsible for the dishonest and dishonoring way they treat the words of God.
Jeremiah 29:13 "13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Deuteronomy 4:29 "29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul."
Proverbs 8:17 "17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me."
Only when we seek Him with all our hearts desiring to know Him and to obey His will, will He answer us in our prayers.

Fighting Silly Things is not for the Born Again Believer
There are many Christians who are fighting the mandates recently made because of the virus. I do not believe we should fight the government. If there is not a clear mandate to wear a mask then I am free not to wear one. However when there is a mandate, such as a doctor's office or particular stores then I will comply. I do not comply because I think the rules are good, but because I don't want to be fighting with people about a silly mask.
The truth is that as long as we are not being told to deny Christ we can comply with the new rules. I don't wear masks where it is not a requirement. However, I do at a particular doctor's office when it is required. Christians should not be fighting with others if it is possible to comply.
Christians if they wish to have a good witness and a positive attitude that attracts non-believer to our God, we must have something they don't have, that is peace and joy through anything. We are not in this world to have our own way, we are here to be witnesses of Christ and demonstrations of His character.
1 Peter 3:15
"But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,"
Ephesians 4:29
"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."
Romans 12:11
"Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord."
