Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Making Peace by Obeying Christ
Making peace does not mean neglecting to challenge people to greater holiness.
It is challenging one another that brings obedience to Christ and great peace to those who love Him.
Peace is in the heart not necessarily outward peace. We are peaceful with others as much as we can be but the world brings war by rejecting Christ.
Rejecting Christ causes people to follow their sinful nature which brings chaos and hatred.
Romans 8:4-6 "…4 so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace,…"
Frightening Ideas that Float Around
There is a frightening idea floating around Christiandom that is used by the devil to silence the born-again believer.
This idea is that we should mind our own business and leave others alone. Another aspect of this idea is the thinking that we should only judge ourselves and no one else.
The first idea that we should mind our own business flies in the face of the gospel that tells us to "snatch those how are perishing from the fire." If we love people we want to share with them how to become saved and what that wonderful salvation brings for them if they choose it.
Those who do not want us to share the gospel are often those who hate to be told they are wrong or in need of a Savior. They use the intimidation of "mind your own business" to mock and demean anyone who cares deeply about the salvation of others. The devil knows if believers stop speaking the Word to others he can have a greater influence for evil in the world.
The devil has been working from the beginning to influence mankind to hate God. The devil, the ultimate narcissist wants mankind to follow him into hell.
The devil hates what God loves, he will do whatever he can to cause the ruin and demise of mankind because he knows God loves His own creation.
The devil will even claim what we do to obey Christ is foolish and evil. He will come against us any way he can to stop the flow of information in God's Word that would cause many to become born again.
Next time you are rebuffed, excluded, and hated by people remember it happened to Christ first and then the apostles. Those who are prideful and resistant to the truth will be used of the devil to attack us whenever and wherever he can get away with it.
We are living in an apostate age in which false Christianity is on steroids. More falsehoods are coming out of the church gatherings than truth.
Remember too that Noah was alone, only eight people were in solidarity. Remember Lot, remember Elijah, Elisha, Joseph who was thrown into a well by his brothers, David who was hated by his own son who wanted to kill him.
There are many more examples in the Word of God in which the prophets of old and the followers of Jesus Christ were targeted by those whom satan was using in his attempt to thwart the gospel message.
Satan has been on a rampage from the very beginning of his existence. He will not stop, but he was defeated at the cross and can have no effect on born-again believers. He cannot ruin them, they are secure in Christ, He keeps them until He comes for them.
Hallelujah!!!!!
Many Christians are Deceived!
Sometimes I am shocked at how many things Christians believe that are not Biblical but come straight out of secular psychology.
God said to test everything, otherwise, we will be trusting in things that are ruinous to us and others.
God said to test everything, otherwise, we will be trusting in things that are ruinous to us and others.
Pretenders are Those Who are Lukewarm
Revelation 3:16-18 "…16 So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to vomit you out of My mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have grown wealthy and need nothing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked."
There are many pretenders in the church gatherings who walk in self-righteousness, disobey the Word of God regularly and even have a disdain for anyone who will correct them according to the Word. This is called the apostasy that God said would happen in the last days.
Proverbs 13:7
"There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches."
Those who are poor in spirit, who know they had to be saved from their sin and realize it is only Christ Who is good, these are the rich ones who will see their inheritance with Christ.
Luke 18:9-14
"He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ ..."
Those who boast of their own goodness are doing it because they know they are not and need to convince others as they attempt to convince themselves.
Titus 3:5
"He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,"
Those who became born again were those who knew they were wretched and in need of a Savior. No one will be saved who believes they deserved the grace of God. These people walk in pride thinking they are better than others.
Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
Romans 10:3
"For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness."
Remember it is only Christ Who is good, no one else can claim they are good.
Proverbs 30:12
"There are those who are clean in their own eyes but are not washed of their filth."
Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
My prayer is that those who are full of themselves thinking they are earning their way to heaven will repent and see the need to trust Christ and become cleansed by Him.
He is the only One Who can cleanse us, He is the only One Who can save us from ourselves.
Luke 10:27
"And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
