Someone who has removed themselves from the modern buildings and all the trappings is more likely to be those who are seeking Christ. They have retreated to homes to be able to obey the Scriptures that describe the gathering of believers in the first century.
Those who turn their backs on God after claiming to be Christians were never changed by Christ into a new creation; they were never born again, they were pretenders. Those who have been changed by Christ never turn back. This has nothing to do with whether or not someone attends a particular style of gathering or a particular building as practiced in these end times.
1 John 2:19-20 "19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But their departure made it clear that none of them belonged to us. 20 You, however, have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth."
The modern apostate church has left the structure of the first-century church gathering, making it a place of pleasure and false doctrine. Making up their own idea of "worship," they have neglected the more important things of the gospel to chase after worldly "feelings" of righteousness without true righteousness.
