God Does NOT Promise THIS...

Amen, Amen!!!! All Spiritual promises, those who depend on superficial temporal things have nothing left when they lose those things because the inner spirit has not been developed.

Jesus Christ is the Word

The word is Jesus Christ. We hide His Word away in our hearts. When we speak it to others who do not read it they are commanded to "hear" it and accept it.

God was telling those who didn't even have a Bible but did have only the prophets to tell them.

Jesus Christ is the very essence of His own Word. When we trust in Christ we read to discern what is the will of God because we love Him.

We are not told to memorize it but to know it, the Word is a Spiritual matter within the hearts of those who love Christ and are indwelt by Him.

We have the Bible and the Holy Spirit, this is all we need.

Psalms 119:10-13

"With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments. Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You. Blessed are You, O LORD; Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have told of All the ordinances of Your mouth."

Psalm 40:8

"I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart."

A self righteous person could never pray the following prayer that a righteous man frequently prays:

Proverbs 19:13-14 "12Who can discern his own errors? Cleanse me from my hidden faults. 13 Keep Your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless and cleansed of great transgression. 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer."
