When we have fear it is a self-focus instead of Christ's focus. It brings about rudeness and selfishness toward others.
1 John 4:18 "Love casts out all fear" When there is fear there cannot be love.
We see a lot of self-righteousness, rudeness and rejection of others when there is fear. Fear is at the root of everything that is evil and destructive. It is a destroyer of relationships.
When we have love we do not fear and all those mean-spirited attitudes and actions dissolve away as we trust Christ.
The fruit of the Spirit is evidence that someone is walking in the Spirit;
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
This fruit is automatic for those who are walking in the Spirit of God because the fruit is the very essence of Jesus Christ's Holy Spirit Who lives in us.
Those who do not have this fruit are not born again because they come from the Spirit of God to those who are born again. Those who are not born again cannot have the Fruit of the Spirit of God.
Romans 8:7-9 "…7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.…"
Words are only about 7% of communication, all other communication comes from body language and actions. Often words should not be believed without evidence in actions and discerned attitudes.
Let us all strive to walk in the Spirit so that we will not be a shameful example to other believers or a weak witness to the unsaved.
