False Beliefs are Worse than Not Knowing at All
The Modern Christian is Shamefully Ignorant! We have more Bibles in our country than any country of the world and yet we do not have a better understanding of it than other countries. False beliefs about the Bible are worse than not knowing it at all.
Ignorance of the Modern Christian
I don't know very many "Christians" who know the Bible. They know a few phrases out of context to say what it doesn't mean. In short, they know enough of the Bible to be dangerous because it is misunderstood drastically and passed on as fact.
2 Timothy 4:2-4 "…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…"

The Shocking Lies of Modern Christianity
The modern Christianity is so far off truth its shocking! Here are a few of the mantras people use that are not truth!
1. We are under grace so sin doesn't matter anymore.
Romans 6:1-2 "1 What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2 Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?…"
2. God helps those who help themselves.
The truth is God helps those who cannot help themselves.
3. God gave us a brain to think for ourselves.
God tells us to think with His mind. When we want to retain
our own thoughts we will not be seeking Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16 - For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
4. Maybe Allah is the same God as ours.
This is a no brainer, Allah clearly states in the Koran that he
has no son.
5. Divorce is accepted for adultery.
The only acceptable divorce is of the engaged couple before marriage if one has been unfaithful before the marriage. The betrothal in the Jewish culture was almost as binding as a marriage except for the fornication clause.
6. We should forgive even if someone is not repentant.
God said to forgive the way he does, that is when someone is sorry and asks for forgiveness.
7. Remarriage is alright as long as there was adultery in the first marriage. There is no scripture that says any such thing.
8. God wouldn't want us to suffer. All of the apostles suffered and most martyred for their faith. Jesus Christ died for the sins of others. Why would we think we should not suffer.
9. What we believe doesn't matter as long as we are sincere. God says that anyone who does not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ will not be saved.
John 3:36 " 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.”"
10. We should say things in a way that people will receive it.
We are not responsible for results only for obedience. We are to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. He will speak through us whatever He wants to convey.
Matthew 10:19-20 "…19 But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say. 20 For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. "
There are many more misunderstandings because far too many people just believe preachers instead of read the word of God for themselves and seek the Holy Spirit for gaining wisdom.
Now go and look it all up for yourself in the Bible. Believe what it says and throw away all the false teachings of our day. Unless of course you wish to fit in with all those others people who love their lies more than they do God.
