Ask for God to cleanse your heart from the desire to sin. When the desire goes away then too will the sin.
First we must admit we struggle with the sin. God will not work with someone who will not confess.

The Self Esteem of the World
Here is where self esteem has taken the world we live in, the path of justification of evil. Even making evil against someone look like its best for them.
There is a bill in the Oregon legislature awaiting committee that legalizes starving to death an infirmed person.
The language in the bill is so ambiguous that nearly any interpretation can be given to it in most every situation.
The words in the bill describe almost anyone in difficult times. House Bill 4135 basically leaves the decision of administering food and water up to the care giver in the case of dementia and Alzheimer’s patients.
What is disturbing about this mentality of starving to death those who are capable of using food and hydration but are mentally challenging for the care giver, is that it is entirely subjective based on the emotionally charged care giver to decides whether someone is worth the trouble of feeding. Not to mention the narcissistic adult children who would like to see Mother or Father's money flowing from their bank account to the child's.
The killing mentality of this world has increased in these last days. Since there seems to be few who are disturbed by the murdering every day of thousands of babies, it is not a leap to move on to anyone else who is full grown and inconvenient.
As believers in Christ we see the value of everyone, even the infirmed. We see the value that comes from serving those who are in need of our help. There is value in the person we serve and value in the act of serving someone.
When the world continues in the growing selfishness, mass murder has already been happening for more than 40 years now, there is an ease with which one glides into other forms of murder to remove inconveniences such as the elderly and those who are mentally challenged.
Our country is progressing speedily toward legalized killing for those who do not measure up to the standards of the arrogant "elite."
Every one has value as long as God keeps them alive. No one has the right to decide who is of value and who is not. Anyone who thinks they are more valuable than others may find themselves embarrassed while standing before God hearing these most frightening words:
"I never knew you, depart from me", as they are cast into hell. Matthew 7:21-23.
As we progress toward the end times we will see many people justifying sin while elevating self, so much so that it will be hard to find someone who is not caught in this web of self esteem.
Philippians 2:2-4 "…2 then make my joy complete by being of one mind, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.…"
