Born Again or Pretender Ask God Which

For those who believe Christians become sinless after they have been transformed.

Our spirit is transformed, but we are trapped in this body of flesh that we fight against daily. Those who are not born again do not fight the flesh; they lean into it, enjoy it, and even defend their bad behavior.

I worry about the relationships

Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?"

1 John 3:9 "No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God."

1 John 1:9 "9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

We grow in holiness in direct proportion to how much we confess. The Holy Spirit convicts us when we have sinned, even just a bad attitude so that we will ask to be cleansed of it.

There is no Spiritual growth without confessing our flaws and weaknesses to God for cleansing. This is why we see so many believers who walk fleshly without growing emotinoally or Spiritually.

1 Corinthians 3:15 "
If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet only so as through fire."

This is also the reason it is so hard these days to judge who may be saved and who is not.

Matthew 13:24-30 "The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

We cannot always know who is saved and who is not but we can have questions because the behavior and words do not seem to match a heart that has been transformed by Christ. This is why it is valid and necessary to challenge people to ask God if they are saved, because the fruit is bad.

Luke 6:43-44 "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. / For each tree is known by its own fruit. Indeed, figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor grapes from brambles."

There is every level of believer, some brand new, some many years old in the Lord, our heart is to challenge people to seek Christ, make sure they are saved, and pray for their salvation if the fruit is bad.

Words That Reflect an Inner Heart

Sadly, the people I pray for often in my family all attend churches and believe they are saved. Their actions are decent, but their attitudes are snarky, rude and mean as though words do not matter as long as they don't break the law.

The Church is not a Building

Too many "Christians" associate the church with buildings, particular places, and mandated days to meet.

They do not understand that these modern ways were invented by man and have corrupted the church, which is the people. The traditions of men have ruined authentic fellowship.

Mark 7:13 "13 Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”

Colossians 2:8 "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ."

1 Corinthians 14:26 "What is the outcome then, brothers and sisters? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. All things are to be done for edification."

God never intended us to go and sit facing forward, listening to a long sermon delivered by one man. His intention was that we speak to one another about the Lord and remember Him in His Lord's supper. Each person is contributing.

This is impossible in the modern churches because the people in the pews are expected to remain silent, and just believe whatever the person in the pulpit tells us to believe, because he has been educated by other men.

The people in church gatherings today do not understand that the Holy Spirit is the One Who teaches and leads everyone who is born again.

If we are reading the word and praying at home, we will have something to offer our brothers and sisters in the gathering. Now the modern Christian barely knows their Bibles and operates as though they believe only men educated by other men can be led by the Holy Spirit. Or worse, they don't even think in terms of the leading of the Holy Spirit.

1 Timothy 4:1-3 "Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron. They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from certain foods that God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth."

It is easy to manipulate and control people when they are made to believe they have no authority to speak or wisdom to share.

All born-again believers have the Authority of Christ in them to speak the things of the Lord as they are led by the Holy Spirit. They all have the Authority to challenge one another, encourage, teach, and evaluate what others say.

Hebrews 5:11-13 "11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain, because you are dull of hearing. 12 Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to reteach you the basic principles of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food! 13For everyone who lives on milk is still an infant, inexperienced in the message of righteousness."

I have heard many times in my life statements such as: "I have to ask my pastor.", Rarely have I heard: "I have to ask God to hear from the Holy Spirit."

I have even been told I should not speak things of the Lord because I am a woman and only men are allowed to do it. Sadly, scripture is taken out of context to justify a false teaching. Many fall into the trap of ignoring all the rest of scripture for this one idea concocted by people who have their own agenda.

When we read the Word for ourselves and are led by the Holy Spirit, we are qualified to evaluate everything and speak the truth boldly to help one another remain faithful to God's Word.

So the final takeaway is; Listen to one another, evaluate what is said according to the Bible, and speak the truth of God boldly.
