Tradition or Christ!

Stop believing all you have been taught and seek Christ for the truth. If you do not do this, then you love your tradition more than Christ.

Pawns Without Good Sense

Oregon is a state full of narcissism. I grew up there and saw the evil. Before all these terrible laws were made I lived among sudo-christians who never spoke of their faith to anyone, or rarely and only if asked. The family members I knew fell into all kinds of modern thinking more interested in building up their own superiority than humbling themselves to be cleansed. The Lord took me away from that area after I was married and before I was born again. I believe He wanted me to be removed to protect me from following the example of those who love their self righteousness and pretending.

When I returned from time away my eyes were so widely opened to the evil of this form of Christianity that I could never be fooled again.

I am thankful that when we ask the Lord to show us truth He will open our eyes so widely that they can never be closed again.

Those that love their apostate Christianity will not want any part of those who love truth. They will even warn other family members against us to remove any influence we can be that might test their faith to challenge what they have been taught and have chosen to believe all their lives.

The Bible for these people is a book of suggestions, they mix its truth with paganism and psychological error to justify what they desire to believe.

The challenge here is to check everything we believe with the Bible. Not going to the Bible to makes it say what we like, but to actually seek the Holy Spirit for truth and allow Him to show us what the Bible says and what it means.

Anyone who is seeking Christ will see the dross burning off as the Lord reveals to them all the things they thought were true that were sinful.

John 14:6
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Want to know truth? Take everything you believe to prayer asking God to expose it if it is wrong and replace it with Scripture. In order to do this though, one must want truth more than they want comfort and friends.

This is truth; when you have decided to obey God and seek truth, you will be rejected by the pretenders, unsaved family and many you never thought would be disloyal to you or to Christ.

Luke 21:16 "…16You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you will be put to death. 17And you will be hated by everyone because of My name."

Those who are not interested in truth will hate you, they will concoct gossips about you that were never true, claiming they know you and your intents, when they know nothing about you. They have developed thoughts about you to justify their anger against you. They will take a small innocent thing and blow it up to look evil when it was good. These are all tactics of the devil, he is the one behind their thoughts and ideas.

Do not be discouraged by these people and their minions, they are only obeying their father the devil, they are pawns without truth and light.

1 Peter 5:7-9 "…7 Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering."

What We Believe Affects Our Rationale

When someone believes there is no need for confession to be forgiven they interpret God's Word differently from what is written in it. The one bringing truth will be judged for not expressing it the way the hearer wants to hear it as an excuse to dismiss WHAT has actually been said.

When someone's belief system is based on feelings, right and wrong will be determined by how someone reacts rather than what is actually said or written down.

When our belief system is based on self, then everything that is written will be interpreted to reflect a sense of entitlement.

When someone who is self oriented reads 1 John 1:9, they will leave out important words to justify their personal desires.

1 John 1:9 says this:
"9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

The self absorbed ones will interpret this verse as saying, "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins", leaving out the first words that say; "if we confess our sins." This is the way the Bible is read by hearts that have been indoctrinated into psychology and intimidated by the culture around them.

Often we hear "Christ said, 'forgive them for they know not what they do," as though Christ is forgiving the whole world without the necessary believing in Christ and His cleansing of us.

There are many other verses just like this, such as the belief that we are not to judge anyone In this instance three little words are snatched from the context of an entire chapter on judging to justify allowing everyone to do whatever they want without challenge.

Here is what is used in caps and the rest of the passage after thats:

Matthew 7:1-6
Judging Others
7 “DO NOT JUDGE so that you will not be judged. 2 For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and [a]by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how [b]can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."

The passage above does not say not to judge, it says be careful that we do not judge someone for doing what we are also doing, that would be hypocrisy. The passage goes on to explain that when we have made sure our own eye is clear then we can go to our brother with a judgement to help him see what his error is.

Notice too that God says in this passage not to throw our pearls in front of the pigs. In order to know if someone is a pig we must make a judgement based on God's Word. Really the judgments we make are not our own, they are wisdom from God, they are His judgments.

The world is full of apostasy right now, most people do not want truth nor will they listen.

2 Timothy 4:2- "…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

When someone has been trained in the ways of the world and psychology they will be very hard to reach for the truth unless the Holy Spirit has spoken in their heart and they are pliable to hear Him.

Confessing Negated in the Modern Church

The longer one refuses to confess sin in their lives the stronger hold that sin has on them. The longer one refuses to confess to God and others the more likely the possibility of regression in the Christian walk.

Often we see people who began strong in their Christian walk, they put all evil out of their lives, ran hard after Christ. After a couple of years they begin to blend in with everyone else who is walking superficially. This is an indication of a pretender or a believer who cared more about fitting into the culture than they did about Christ.

We cannot expect God's blessing or validation when we refuse to do what He has commanded us to do. That is confess to be cleansed.

The psychological belief that one does not have to confess to be forgiven has led to many erroneous actions and attitudes in our culture. It has empowered rebellion and evil. Those who believe others must forgive without the offender expressing regret, has led to an entitlement attitude, "you have to forgive me."

I have actually heard someone I confronted about their sin say to me: "I am not sorry, I did nothing wrong and you have to forgive me." My answer was, "if you believe you did nothing wrong then why would I have to forgive you."

You see, they knew they had done wrong but were too prideful to confess it so they attempted to lay responsibility on me for their lack of repentance.

I will not disobey God by forgiving the unrepentant. I feel no revenge, no bitterness or anger because they will not repent. But if I see there is no change in behavior I will not foolishly extend forgiveness just so the one who is sinning will feel better about their sin

The narcissist is one who cannot love someone who is not perfect, that's why they forgive before repentance. They must feel good about themselves more than they want the offender to discover their need for confession to be cleansed.

Our relationship with Christ must be stronger than any relationship with man on this earth. Most believers are far more worried about being liked and looked up to that they cannot break away from the hold of the culture to obey Christ.

So much psychology is integrated into the modern church that negates the Bible, it is hard to find truth in the modern church.

2 Timothy 3 is a description of the last days apostasy of the church. What an ugly description of those who "have a form of religion" based on psychology but deny God's truth.

Answering the Question of Sin in a Believers Life

God disciplines those who belong to Him. Since no one came to Christ because of their good deeds, they will not remain Christian because of their good deeds.
When we come to Christ we come with nothing to offer, we don't get something to offer because Christ has saved us. We are born again because we confessed our sinfulness and Christ came to live in us.
We are not sinless but we sin less because God is always working on us.
Ephesians 2:10
"10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."
Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, or lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"
John 15:3-5 "…3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. 5I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.…"
All those who are born again remain in Christ. Those who do not remain were never born again. They were the pretenders spoken of in Matthew 7:21-23
Matthew 7:21-23 )
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [a]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"
Notice in the passage in Matthew that those who will be turned away thinking they have made it to heaven will have done miracles in Christ's name. They will even be seen by others as super godly people. But they never trusted in Christ, they trusted in their own goodness.
Christ's blood cleanses and covers our sinfulness. Over time we are cleansed as we confess while all our sin continues to be covered in the blood.
We are cleansed in direct proportions to how often we confess. 1 John 1:9. We are only cleansed from those sins that we confess. As long as one will not confess they remain with that sin that will testify against them at the judgement of the righteous, who will be judged according to their reward, not based on their sin.
1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Most Christians today believe God will forgive even if there is no confession of sin. This is unbiblical and has led many people into error about salvation and the security of that salvation. It has also led people into error concerning human relationships. One cannot build a relationship with Christ when we will not have the sorrow necessary for repentance. One cannot rebuild a relationship with people based on "just letting it all go." We must be as God has commanded, we must operate the way He operates. He forgives when we repent, and we must forgive when there is repentance.
God does not throw away those He has sealed:
Ephesians 1:12-14 "…12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory. 13 And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth— the gospel of your salvation— you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory."
1 Corinthians 3:14-16 "…14 If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames. 16Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?…"
All we do is believe and trust Christ and He does all the rest of the work.
Ephesians 2:10
"10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."
