Today selfies are all the rage......perhaps a part of the end times "raging insanity", many people are not even ashamed of being self absorbed. It comes from the idea that we must love ourselves first before we can love others. The truth of God is that we cannot love others better than ourselves as long as we love ourselves first.

Philippians 2:3-4 "3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

Love of Self Brings Hate

Parents and teachers cannot understand why the students are little monsters, simple, they were trained to love only themselves.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

"3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 

2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 

3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 

4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."

The same thing is wrong with the modern gospel that is wrong with the whole culture, that is "rebellion against God."

There was a day when we didn't see any of this foolishness going on in the classroom. A day when students were respectful of all authority as well as their teachers, they desired to learn.

We are living in rancorous times full of anger and hate without regard to anyone else. As we see in this video the children are out of control but what is not addressed here is that it is the parents who are raising these terrible children who are fostering an attitude of disrespect for authority by not demanding it at home toward them.

When my husband and I were in school it would have never crossed our minds to strike out at a teacher or even another classmate. We were taught at home and church how we should act and we took that same mentality to school with us.

We see violence in the schools because children are not being trained at home to respect others. Many children now are training their own parents by being in control of the home. The parent is not actively teaching children to be respectful, so the children have no model at home for it.

In our day it was the rare student who was out of control and they were disciplined by the teacher, if they were too wild they were sent to the principle and if they still would not obey they were expelled and not allowed to return.

"Narcississm; "Second Timothy Three is Here." is a book I wrote to explain why we are seeing this sort of disrespect and violence in our schools. When our children were in school there was a sense of the beginning of this mess with the children placing their liberal teachers in the role of authority over their parents. It cause an attitude of disrespect for the parents that caused them to reject their parents as well as the values of the parents.

A warning; born again believing parents should keep their children out of these government schools entirely. The environment there will corrupt your children and you will lose control of their training in righteousness. They will also learn to disrespect you as they bond with their rebellious class mates and the ways of those classmates parents.
