God places the dictators in power often to punish the proud who will not obey God. This nation pridefully shakes its fist in the air demanding more blessing and continued freedom when the churches and the authorities have negated His every Word. Even those who say they are Christians refuse to obey God in more ways than they obey Him, and yet they will say they believe the Bible. When you tell them they are disobeying the Bible and God, they will rage and exclude you for telling the truth.
Galatians 4:16-17 "16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? 17Those people are zealous for you, but not in a good way. Instead, they want to isolate you from us, so that you may be zealous for them."
And, some think we deserve continued blessing and safety with good leaders? This is a joke as well as deeply disturbing.
Daniel 2:20-21 "“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. 21 He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. "
Just because we desire good leadership does not mean God gives it. I accept His will because I see how evil this country has become and the entire world.
Romans 13:1
"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God."
Next time anyone is complaining about what is going on in government perhaps they ought to take a look at their level of obedience to Christ and His Word. God will not continue to bless a nation when it refuses to repent and confess its own sins.
Shaking our fists in the air demanding blessing from God is utterly ridiculous and rebellious. Sort of like a child screaming and demanding something from a parent. A good parent will not give the thing the child wants merely because he is demanding disrespectfully.
We ought to be proclaiming repentance followed by obedience rather than shouting silly things like "God bless America."
He already blessed us and we spit in His face for it.
