There is a phenomenon called "The Dunning and Kruger Effect" in which the least competent people have the highest opinions of themselves while the most intelligent people have many doubts in their pursuit of excellence.
It demonstrates that prideful people are often foolish people, seeing themselves as more talented and intelligent than they are to impress others.
Intelligent people seek after truth and excellence; what others think is not important to them. They are able to evaluate themselves in truth while enjoying improvement. They love learning, improving, and discovering; they must have a measure of humility to admit when improvement is necessary.
Those who are prideful see no need to actually be excellent as long as they think they are and are dedicated to impressing others.
If we are wise we have no need of the approval of others. We do desire to help others through doing the best job we can in support of the efforts of the team.
Arrogant people are not team players; if they are not in charge, they have no interest. If someone is better at something than they are, they will not encourage them, but rather are competitive with those who have a better grasp of things.
Philippians 2:3-4 "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
Wise people are full of love, caring about the success of others and the team effort. Unwise, arrogant people only care that they come out looking superior or more knowledgeable.
When we take a look at God's love we see who is demonstrating love and who is not.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
"4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8a Love never fails;"
Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

Here's my take on "illegal immigration"
Here's the thing, if someone will defy the laws of our country to get in, they very likely will not respect all the other laws we have here. They are "LAWBREAKERS."
Romans 13:1-2:
"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God, and those that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authority resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves."
If we were a Christian nation, then we would be following the Bible. Most Christians are not following the Bible, but think they are, they defy God every time they ignore a command or principle of God.

Indoctrination in the Ways of Man are Huge in these End Times
Once someone has been indoctrinated into false doctrine and all those around them have accepted it, there is no convincing them of the truth.
We are living in a world of "Christianity" that has been deceived by much false doctrine, they are dedicated to what sounds good and feels right, not based on what God actually said.
John 14:15 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. "
Matthew 24:24-25 "24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible. 25 See, I have told you in advance."
Many people who attend church gatherings are believing things that God never said, even using small portions of Scripture to make it sound Biblical, but ends up being the opposite of what God said.
1 John 4:1 "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world."
Everything we hear and see, we must ask God and be willing to let go of what does not match His Word. He will warn us if we want to know the truth, but He will also leave us in our deception if we only want to fit in with the culture.

Presenting Our Bodies as Living Sacrifices
Romans 12:1-2 "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
John 4:24 "24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth.”
If anyone cannot worship unless they are in those man-made buildings, then they do not understand the Spiritual nature of our worship, being a living sacrifice, not conformed to the world.
The system of "Christianity" that is practiced in most church gatherings ignores Christ in many ways, being led by people instead of Christ. Much of what goes on in the modern gathering is not Biblical but treated as though it must be done because everyone has always done it.
Our bodies are the temple of Christ, not any ritual or mantra, but living according to His Word and speaking His Truth while obeying His commands and principles, as well as edifying one another to continue in obedience to His Word.
Ephesians 4:15: "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head."
