2 Timothy 3:1-5
"3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."
I probably could not count the number of times I quoted or have written this passage. The thing I notice the most in our time, over all the other attitudes in that litany of character flaws in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, is the lack of natural affection, the total lack of love.
Everyone seems to be so engrossed in their own little world of technology that they are offended by any interruption from it.
People are not very important to one another anymore. They are only interested in others to the extent that the others enhance their own existence.
I have met a handful of kind and loving people, but mostly, very few care about anyone else.
We truly are living out the 2 Timothy 3 passage right now, along with many other prophesies, this one is the one that is in our face day after day, day in and day out.
