The False Pastor System

The problem is the false "Pastor" system in which one must have gone to seminary in order to secure a "job" as a main one-man pastor. The problem is that the church sees the paid "Pastor" as the only one who has the truth. The one-man pastor system is based on titles, which are unbiblical, and one-man rule which are not biblical.
The Bible teaches a plurality of elders and no one is paid. This allows for accountability and there is no threat of losing an income if the people don't like what you say.
The modern church system was born out of Catholicism promoting hierarchy rule over the people instead of the Holy Spirit working in every born again believer.
I can't count the number of times people have said to me, "you can't know you didn't go to seminary." I asked one lady this question, "oh, does the Holy Spirit only go to seminary"? Then I reminded her that the Holy Spirit lives in every believer and can discern truth from error by His wisdom.
Those who depend on pastors for their wisdom are not depending on the Holy Spirit, they will believe things that are wrong because every preacher has flaws, but the Holy Spirit has no flaws. Many preachers depend on famous writers for their wisdom far more than the Bible and the Holy Spirit.
The reason God has shut down all the churches is that they are operating under a false system of authority based on man not on the teachings of the Bible.
We do not title someone based on their Spiritual gift. "pastor" is a gift that is given to several men in the gathering, no one takes priority over the other. They are all equal and each must evaluate what the others say. I do not capitalize it here because it is not a position or a title, it is a calling.
Our churches have become apostate because the hirelings, that is the paid pastors preach wrong messages to keep their pew people coming back every week. They need those numbers to keep a salary coming.
Just watch the manipulation in those large gatherings. There is music being played during the prayers to invoke emotions. There is constant levity and joking to make the people laugh and there is preaching on tithing, while the organ plays, also not Biblical, to make the people want to give their money to that particular church.
It would be easy to write a book about all the umbilical practices in the modern apostate churches, perhaps there have been some written that I don't know about, but nevertheless, so much is wrong that GOD shut them down. He brought the virus to discipline everyone, even the churches.
Hebrews 12:11
"For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it."
Revelation 3:19
"Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent."
But, what do we see, instead of repenting these churches are fighting the courts to remain open. They know if their gathering closes their salary will dry up and their buildings will close forever.
The early church didn't have buildings, they met in homes because those who were dedicated to Christ were not concerned about buildings. Some met in the synagogues because they had already been built for the Jews, but most met in homes.
God never commanded man to build lavish buildings nor did He command pastors to be salaried. We can see why, this human thinking of paying pastors comes from verses intended to be for traveling preachers who needed to have offerings to continue to their next town. It was never meant for salaries for permanent one-man pastors.
I see this all the time; so many taking scripture out of context to justify how people have always done things. They will not pray about it, they will not even consider what they are doing to find out the truth. They just reject any challenge to read the Bible in context as well as rejecting the person who brought the challenge.
We also have to remember that our English Bibles have been tainted with western thinking leaving many to believe things that are not true.
YES, God has shut down the culture because it is a stench in His nostrils. We must not complain about the shutdowns because to do so is to complain against God.
I remember years ago when a godly older lady chastised me for complaining about the weather because it was God Who was in control of it. SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!! The same truth holds for political matters and others things in life that we have no control over. If you have no control over it and it was not your responsibility then you must trust Christ.
The more we try to have control over God's business the more joy is sucked from our souls and manipulated by the devil.
Let's not give the devil smiles by fighting against God's decrees. God knows what He is doing, how silly to think we know better than God does.
I heard a saying recently that makes a lot of sense to me; "if you want to see God laugh, tell Him your plans."
Evil people cannot carry out their plans without God's permission. Just as Job's attack from the devil was given to him to accomplish, it also had a greater purpose than Job's comfort. Job came out the other side better off than he was before. During all of the terrible things he endured, he never rejected God.
Job 2:9-10 "…9 Then Job’s wife said to him, “Do you still retain your integrity? Curse God and die!” 10 “You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her. “Should we accept from God only good and not adversity?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said."
Job was reminded by God who was in control, this helped him come through it all without ever being angry with God.
Job 38:4-7
"4 Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding,
5 Who set its measurements? Since you know.
Or who stretched the measuring line over it?
6 On what were its bases sunk?
Or who laid its cornerstone,
7 When the morning stars sang together
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?"
There you have it, will we stop complaining about things we cannot control realizing that God has complete control. Do not blame it on the devil, even the devil is controlled by God for His purposes.
1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
Matthew 28:18
"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."
Lean into Christ continually and you will come out the other side of hardship stronger and better than you were before the trials.
Romans 5:3-5 "3 And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;
4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
Trust the Holy Spirit, do not look horizontally to the mess around you, look vertically to the hope of our redemption.
Luke 21:28 "28 When these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads because your redemption is drawing near."
God told us we would have trials but if we are looking up we need not be devastated by them.
