Trusting the Holy Spirit after Salvation

When we plant seeds in our garden, we can carefully place them in the little trench, cover them with dirt and water them. However, we cannot make them grow, so we pray over them and leave the results and blessings of a crop to the Lord.

This is what we have to do with our children. We must plant the seeds, while others water them leaving all the results and growth to God.

Too often we think we can do a better job than God can. He promised that His Word does not go out void, that does not mean that we will get all that we want, it means that God will use them which ever way is needed.

This is what faith is all about, it is a matter of obeying God and trusting Him, not only for salvation but for everything after that.

Proverbs 3:5-8

"5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart

And do not lean on your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He will make your paths straight.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

8 It will be healing to your body

And refreshment to your bones."

Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

When we speak as led by the Holy Spirit, we know God did it and it has purpose.

Matthew 10:20 ""For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."

God can and does speak through those who are born again, He is not only responsible for the results but for the words we speak through the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah, we don't have to wring our hands in worry, we can rest in Him completely.
