The Magi and Their Gifts

When Jesus Christ was born He was placed in a manger. He was visited by several magi, not just three as we were taught. These Magi were leaders who brought gifts when Jesus was about two years old. Christ was not a baby when they came, He was a toddler.

There is no indication in the Word of God that there were three magi, it simply says there were magi but not how many. These men very likely knew the scriptures and recognized the prophesy of His coming, we know this by the gifts that they brought.

The gifts that these men brought were gold for a King, Frankinsense a symbol of diety and Myrrh was for embalming. The Magi knew that Christ came to die for the sins of the world and that He was King Who would later rule over the whole world.

The gifts given to Christ were for His purposes, no gifts from the Magi were given to each other, they were all for Christ and for the purpose for which He came, that was to die and be raised from the dead for the sins of the world. His finished work on the cross was the purpose for His coming!

It has been exciting to learn the truth about all the stories of the Bible and how so many things were added to and taken from the Bible over the years to justify human thinking. Many traditions we were raised with came from those who assumed things that the Bible did not say. Now that we have the Bible and can really study it through the original languages in concordances we can enjoy the discoveries while tossing aside the myths that we learned as children.

These are exciting times, God is opening up the understanding of many believers.

Daniel 12:4 "4 But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”

I am convinced that this book has been unsealed for us in these end times. We are in the times of the Gentiles right now, the time of the Gentiles is nearly at an end and the time of the Jews will begin in the tribulation period.

We are experiencing times that the patriarchs did not understand or see, but now we can understand. The prophets had the privilege of writing things that God gave to them to write and now we can see them and even understand them. The book has been unsealed as we move toward the end of the end.
