God is Still in Charge!

It was God Who closed everything during this pandemic, using wicked people. We have to remember that our country and the world are under judgment. God allowed all this to show us how dependent on our stuff and our flippant worship has become.
This world has become more narcissistic than ever before as described in 2 Timothy 3. We are told this would happen, and we are told in the Bible that when we see these things we are to think more than ever about Christ and our home going.
I hear more winning and complaining about the loss of these things than I hear praising God for all His blessings! I almost never hear Christians saying in their daily walk, things like; "praising the Lord today for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ Who paid for my sin so that I could live in paradise for eternity."
This world is not our home, it is a testing place and a place we are being trained for ruling in the Millennium. Complaining about our plight prevents us from learning the necessary lessons God has for us. It prevents us from witnessing Christ to those who are headed to hell.
Think about it for a skinny minute; many Christians are more concerned about warning someone about a virus or vaccine that could kill them than they are about where they are going when they die, heaven or hell. This life is very short, the most important matter is whether or not we spend our eternity with Christ or in hell.
Most Christians I meet today have more to say about their loss of freedom and their loss of money and stuff than they ever have to say about Jesus Christ. They say they are warning people but what they are really doing is elevating themselves to feel superior. If they were really concerned about someone they would warn them about hell and encourage discussion about their eternity.
Can we go an entire month without mentioning politics or the virus? That is my challenge today! If we praise God as much as we complain about these things we might be shocked at how peaceful and loving we become.
Yes, I said that; the continual banter about these worldly problems and ills has caused callousness in the hearts of those who call themselves Christian. They are badgering one another, devaluing each other, as well as treating others disrespectfully because they do not happen to think exactly the same way.
Just a thought!
