Anger is based on Fear

When someone is angry and hurt it has more to do with fear than anything else.
When we do not have a spirit of fear we are not offended or angered easily. We know God sees it all, and knows the deepest truths about it so we fear nothing.
Psalm 46:1-3
"God, the Refuge of His People.
For the music director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, [a]set to Alamoth. A Song.
46 God is our refuge and strength,
A [b]very ready help in [c]trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth shakes
And the mountains slip into the heart of the [d]sea;
3 Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah"
Born-again believers who follow Christ are fearless. We need not be angry over any challenge because we see all challenges as opportunities to learn and grow stronger.
Since we are not concerned about what others think of us we are free to express ourselves and without anger when they express themselves.
Those who are fearful often rage at the smallest challenge. They cogitate continually on their "win or defeat" as they see it. For the born-again believer, every circumstance is a win because of the lesson in it.
If the "feeling" of fear comes over us we endure because we are anchored in the Rock of our Salvation, Jesus Christ. He goes through with us no matter what it is.
Feelings come and go, we cannot stop them, but we can control them while pressing on toward the goal.
Proverbs 3:5-6
"5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight."
"Feelings" are what we have when we have our "own understanding", mostly and almost always based on emotions. In other words we cannot trust ourselves because our emotions get in the way so we must go with truth.
