The farther one get away from the sin without repenting the more sin grows in the unrepentant heart.
One cannot ignore sin without it multiplying like a creeping mold. Ignoring it merely solidifies a rebellious and contemptuous attitude in the one who is resistant to submission to Christ.
We can expect to see more sin, more contempt and greater resistance to obedience while someone remains unrepentant.
Galatians 5:9-10 "9 A little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough. 10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is troubling you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be.…"
Hidden unrepentant sin will eventually creep out into the open for all to see, if not in this life absolutely in eternity.

Our Nature Doesn't Change, It Just Emerges.
If we are faking good character in our younger years, the evil will come out in our aged years.
If we are genuine in our love in our younger years then we will continue that pattern in our elder years.
Whatever our character all our life, will be what strengthens and remains in our elder years.
If someone is friendly and phony in the flesh all their lives, they will become more irritable in their aged years, because they no longer have the strength to keep up the pretense.
Those who are loving and kind in their nature, genuinely so during their life, will remain that way in their elder years.

The Rebellious Heart Refuses to Learn
When the rebellious heart doesn't want to hear truth, they attack what we said, claiming it's legalism. When they cannot attack legitimately what we said and know it, they attack the way we said it.
The rebellious heart will discredit us any way they can, not realizing that God is watching it all and one day they will be accountable for it.
John 3:19-20 "…19 And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness more than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. "

No Do-overs After Death
We are NOT called to teach our parents or to rebuke them, only to serve them. God said "honor father and mother", what it does not say is "only if they are kind and sweet." LOL
I know all about this in my many years of living with and visits to my narcissistic parents. I learned to continue to love them even when they didn't love me.....you know what that did? It made me at peace when they passed with no regrets. Because....when they are gone there are no "do-overs."

A narcissist hates to discuss anything directly, using manipulation and intimidation to control the emotions and reactions of others, they are continually on guard waiting for the moment when they will have to use these tools on their belt.
Subtlety allows the narcissist to live in the realm of "plausible deniability." They can demonstrate such subtlety that when asked to explain their unkind behavior they will readily deny they did or said anything wrong.
This is the reason one feels they are walking on egg shells constantly with the narcissist. There is never a sense of openness and one never knows when the next covert attitude or action will emerge. Happy smiles and loving embraces are absent from the every day existence of the narcissist. There is always an underlying stance of gloom when in their presence, unless they are in the spotlight.
We know when these things are happening, there is an evil cloud of gloom over any conversation or interaction with a narcissist. There is never a sense of genuineness, light-hearted joy is absent from an encounter with a narcissist.
The need to be best, first and most is so strong with the narcissist that they tread very lightly in revealing truth about themselves, so much so that they will accuse others of making them walk on egg shells, when it is they that create this environment for others.
The narcissist does not share personal information or admit to flaws or struggles in themselves because they believe that others will judge them the way they judge others for even the slightest imperfection.
They are dedicated to displaying a persona that is perfect without any flaws. The Narcissist has a tendency to be harsh and legalistic, even though the things they judge others for are things they do themselves, probably because they do the same things they believe others are doing them too.
Narcissists are always hypocrites, we see this in the political realm right now as well as in families.
Romans 2:1-2 "1 You therefore have no excuse, you who pass judgment on another. For on whatever grounds you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 And we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.…"
A relationship with a narcissist, one who is nearly completely full of self, is tedious at best. Never knowing when the next covert attack will occur because of a "narcissistic injury", will ignite their wrath, keeps the relationship at bay.
Our world is full of narcissism these days, God describes it in 2 Timothy 3. These last days are as the days of Noah, when everyone did what was right in their own eyes and no one would listen. It is rare in our generation that someone will be willing to listen to a correction to help them learn to be a better person or even to help them avoid pitfalls.
All believers embrace correction when it is Biblical and ignore that which is not Biblical. Believers who are mature in their walk do not rage at or do revenge to, anyone who corrects us. We simply evaluate the message in the light of the Word of God and accept it or dismiss it depending on it's Scriptural validity.
Those who rage and do revenge, seemingly unconcerned in their conscience about their reaction, very likely are narcissists. May each one evaluate their own heart to see if there be any elements within them that need to be cleansed by Christ. May those who are not born again realize their lost state and trust Christ, desiring to be cleansed by Him, becoming a new creation.

America Hasn't Changed!
I am flabbergasted at what some believer think are "pretty dresses." I can't even place on my facebook some of the clothing that believers are calling beautiful, simply because someone famous wrote "God Bless America across the front, while there is little material covering the back.
Because this famous person was hated by Hollywood for writing "God Bless America" on her dress, so the believers defend this immoral clothing because those there words were on that dress. I considered it a form of blasphemy for someone to dress like that while calling out to their "god", not our God, to bless America while dressed like a prostitute.
Clothing that a woman would have been arrested for wearing in public 90 years ago, is considered beautiful by the modern Christian.
In one man's lifetime we, as a culture, have become so callous that we don't even notice the immorality nearly all of the culture has accepted in Hollywood. Hollywood only exists because our culture wants what they offer.

Keep Your Eyes Upon Christ
The nation has not turned away from sin and wicked behavior. Trump has been shown to be in support of the homosexual agenda, has no qualms about divorce and remarriage, since he is on his third marriage after two affairs that ended the first two marriages. He has stated that he doesn't think there is anything he need to be sorry for, when given the gospel.
Trump is God's man in the white house, but not for the reasons everyone may think. He is accelerating the events of the end times in the middle east.
No one, as I can tell, is repenting from wickedness. The porn shops still exist, the prostitution remains and even in Trumps businesses. The liquor still flows, families are still divorcing, while 2 Timothy 3 attitudes continue to grow even more intense.
Nothing has changed much, if at all, it is all an illusion to make people think they have, but everyone I know who walks in rebellion, remains in rebellion still.
We are told in 2 Timothy 3 that the mentality of evil and selfishness would continue and accelerate, I see this now and I believe God.
We are living in the last minutes before Christ will come to remove His church. Why on earth would we think anything is going to get better.
Events will not only get worse but along with this the deception will become more clever than it has ever been. Many people will be deceived into thinking our nation is on a better road, when in fact the road will get rougher but more insidious and covert.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 "…10 and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. 11 For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie, 12 in order that judgment will come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness.…"
Matthew 24:24 "24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible. "
Keep your eyes upon Christ, not what we think is going to happen because of a momentary lull in political proceedings.
