When we tolerate what God hates as others dishonor Him, we become more like those who willfully sin against Christ.
Tolerating sin in others to be their friends is to diminish our walk with Christ, He is the One we should care about pleasing.
1 Thessalonians 2:4
"But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts."
Romans 8:27 "And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."
