There are rumors about political entities and some Christians who are supporting the building of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. I have seen Christians seemingly excited about this as though it was a form of supporting Israel.
God clearly said we are to support the nation of people, He did not mean that we support their religion without Christ.
A born-again believer can protect God's people without endorsing or participating in their rituals that deny Christ. The best thing for a Christian to do is bring the gospel to the Jews so that they learn of the Only sacrifice that took away the sin of the world, that is Jesus Christ.
John 1:29, "where John the Baptist says, "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world"
If a politician or Christian is planning on supporting the building of the third temple they would be supporting the antichrist who will overtake the temple, claim to be Christ and blaspheme the real Christ.
Revelation 13:5 "5 A mouth was given to him speaking [a]arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him."
Jeremiah 7:4 "4 Do not trust in deceptive words, chanting: ‘This is the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD.’ "
God, Jesus Christ no longer dwells in temples built by man. He dwells in every born-again believer who has been changed into a new creation by Him. We do not "go to" a building to worship we attend gatherings of two, three or more to edify one another
in the Lord so that we can go into the world and live out our calling to bring salt and light.
Matthew 5:13-16
Disciples and the World
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;
15 nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
These passages were written to ALL born-again believers not one particular gender or anyone who is titled to be seen as superior to another. We all have our callings and gifts and they are not to be used to support unbelievers in their false worship of God.
Hebrews 10:29
"How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?"
We can never support any religion that continues to sacrifice animals or pretends to sacrifice Christ all over again every week. The sacrifice for sin was satisfied in Jesus Christ on the cross and He said right before He died; "it is finished."
When Christ died He was raised from the dead and walked among many witnesses who saw Him in His glorified body. Our Christ Who paid for sin is alive and risen and sits with God in the heavens.
Those who are sacrificing Christ over and over again at their mass or in their synagogues are denying the risen Jesus Christ as though He never rose from the dead. They are denying the real Christ who finished the work and is now glorified.
One day, after the loss of 2/3rds of their people, the 1/3rd left will trust in Christ. Israel is the only nation that will fully trust in Christ at the end of the tribulation. There never has been and never will be any other nation that does this.
Romans 11:26 "and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written: 'THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGodLINESS FROM JACOB.'
Jesus Christ came out of Israel and will return to Israel. He will rule the world with a rod of iron.
Revelation 2:25-29 "25 Nevertheless what you have, hold firmly until I come.
26 The one who overcomes, and the one who keeps My deeds until the end, I will give him authority over the nations;
27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are shattered, as I also have received authority from My Father;
28 and I will give him the morning star.
29 The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’"
