The new evil is "preaching" we are told by rebellious people who want to believe they know everything that we should not "preach at" anyone or that we should not "lecture" our children.
No one has been able to answer the question, "why not preach or lecture?" Are these now the four letter words of the 2000's.
1 Corinthians 1:21
"For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe."
If anyone wants to tell me I should not preach or lecture anyone, then perhaps those are people who hate to be told they may not know something or that they are not the only ones who have wisdom and knowledge.
Proverbs 28:4-5 " 4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, But those who keep the law strive with them. 5 Evil men do not understand justice, But those who seek the LORD understand all things.…"
Prideful people hate preaching and lectures, they also have an aversion to saying what others might not like. If others don't like them, then they will not be popular. Many of these prideful people measure their value on how many people like them rather than developing godly character to be useful to God.
To say that; "we should say things so people will receive them", is to say that if we just say everything just right, all who hear WILL accept it. This couldn't be farther from the truth. It is also to say that if we did our best in the Spirit to convey a message and the person becomes angry, then we must have done something wrong.
Most people rejected Christ, did He not say things properly according to modern psychology. How about the apostles, they were all martyred, did they not say things correctly.
Human effort in preaching to manipulate people into complying, is not Biblical and is damaging, as we can see from the mess the modern apostate church is in today.
We are to be led by the Holy Spirit in the things we say and we are to preach, teach, lecture, speak boldly as we are led by Christ. To follow formulas made up by men who are taught by evolutionists, believing that man is nothing more than another animal, therefore if we train them right they will automatically respond the way we think they should, is not Biblical and even works against the Spirit.
Mankind is not like the animal kingdom, the Pavlov dog experiment does not work on people as it does with dogs, when a bell rings the dog knows to take a treat. Mankind has a will and thought patterns that are not controlled by stimuli.
There are many prideful people who are walking around thinking they are doing everything right because lots of people like them. They are basing their assessment of their character on the responses of others toward them. This is dangerous and the opposite of what Christ said about us if we obey Him.
Mark 13:12-13 "…12 Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against their parents and have them put to death. 13 You will be hated by everyone on account of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. "
Luke 12:16 "…16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you will be put to death. 17 And you will be hated by everyone because of My name."
Luke 6:26 "26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers treated the false prophets in the same way. "
You see, psychology often if not most of the time defies the word of God. Psychology can at times assess the actions and words of people, but they don't have the authentic solution, which is Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 2:14-15 "14 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment.…"
