The Church is not a Building!

Those who are born-again are the church, those buildings are nothing and should not even exist.

Imagine if every believer did things the way God directed, meeting in home, we would have thousands of homes within communities in which the people live influencing those communities for Christ.

Instead, now we have huge buildings for people go to sit like lumps, who do not participate, do not edify one another and go home to live as they have always lived without growth or enthusiasm for the things of the Lord.

This is not what God commanded and what will cause the church to grow.

In fact, the people in those expensive buildings are diminishing as people become bored or those who love the Lord hate the entertainment aspect of those gatherings detracting from Christ and are leaving in favor of preserving their walk with Christ.

I have watched many Christians over the years regress in their kindness and love for others if they ever had this fruit. Because the culture as a whole is normalizing rudeness, even defending it, so also are the cultural Christians. As gossip is increasing, rudeness and jealousy are also increasing.

We are living in the days just like those of Noah right before God flooded the earth with water. This time He will not flood the world but instead, He will remove the believers and begin some serious discipline for the rest of the remaining world.

This discipline will cause some people to trust in Christ but most will reject Him and be devastatingly schooled in the power of Christ.

The Church Grows Under Persecution

A discussion between a brother and myself that I think may be of interest to others.

Gwendolyn Wehage it's really curious that persecuted Christian groups in China and elsewhere gather together at homes not in buildings
Right like the early Church did in the book of Acts, they shared everything among them and took care of the ailing and the elderly studying our Bible with elders.
(that's when deacons tasks showed up and are first mentioned in Acts)
They also were actively preaching the Gospel and gaining new souls for Christ ardently

Aldo Gismondi amen, amen! God is forcing believers to go back to the way He commanded. I believe this is why He allowed COVID to prove to people they didn't seem to be able to be without those "pastors" and "buildings", they didn't gather at home, they were addicted to those buildings and those pastors.

The Devil is the Accuser of the Brethren

No one is without a sinful heart before they are born again. This makes accusations of past forgiven sins ridiculous. Only the devil holds past forgiven sins against a born-again believer.

The one who holds past forgiven sins against someone is playing the hypocrite when they presume they have never sinned while they accuse others of sin that has been forgiven. Those who accuse others are themselves sinning through their accusations.

Matthew 7:1-5

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

This is where judging is wrong when those who are not forgiven and have never confessed their sin accuse others of past forgiven sin.

Psalm 32:1

"Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered"

Luke 7:48

"48 And He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”

Nowhere in the Bible does God say "Your sins are forgiven but I will hold them against you for the rest of your life."

1 John 1:9

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Acts 2:38

"And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

No one who has confessed their sin and been forgiven is held accountable anymore.

Another phenomenon in our culture is those who attempt to accuse us of sin that is not sin. If we do not do the things they think we should do that God never commanded, they treat us disrespectfully. They also treat us disrespectfully for speaking the truth of the Bible that would help them make the right decisions that glorify and bless God.

The devil's tactics are legion, they involve guilt and shame over things we never did or things that have been forgiven a long time ago. He works in the minds of those who are not filled with the Holy Spirit to believe things that are not true.

This is how the devil was able to turn Eve against God. He convinced her that "God didn't really mean that", and that God was withholding the truth from her.

The form these lies take now is for people influenced by the devil to use scripture out of context to make us believe things God never said and would hate. Twisting Scripture is the favorite means the devil uses in our day.

Once someone is convinced of the deception that fits with their desired feelings they can never let go of it except for a dramatic intervention of the Holy Spirit. Then they are faced with choosing the Holy Spirit or the lie. Most times they choose the lie and regress in their walk or it is evidence they were never born again.

Yes, the church has gone apostate, but not all in it are unsaved, some are born again but have allowed the apostates to influence them. Many believers in these last days will look like tares because they are weak in their faith, have been influenced by the apostates, and have dug their heels in to accept what God hates.

Matthew 13:24-30

How then does it have tares? ' He said to them, 'An enemy has done this. ' The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then to go and gather them up? ' But he said, 'No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.

In our culture today Christians will say they believe in God and yet support relatives or friends in their disobedience against God and call it "love."

It is not loving to allow a Christian friend to flounder and flirt with sin. It is only love to speak the truth that will help them maintain their soul in holiness and progress in their wisdom.

The question we have to ask is; "who are we loving most? God or our friend." When we love God first we will love our friends enough to tell them the truth that will save their soul if they listen.

Matthew 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”

37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the great and foremost commandment.

39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”

When we love God with all our hearts we will love our neighbor so much we will want him to obey Christ.

In these last days few care about truth, they use the Bible as an amulet claiming they believe in Christ but pick and choose from His Word what they will trust. In our day there is more of the scripture disobeyed than obeyed by church attendees while they proclaim; "I am a Bible believer", it just is not true. Those who believe the Bible will obey God's principles rather than adhering to the demands of the culture.

Signs of Emotional Immaturity

Some signs of emotional immaturity in the narcissist are evident in these last days!

Those who depend on their own mindset to carry them through life lack empathy, overreacting to minor things resulting in chaos while blaming others.

These people have a need for immediate gratification and fail to plan ahead, they are impulsive in their actions and expect others to follow them.

The narcissists are full of self-centeredness, meeting their own needs while ignoring the needs of others, they just don't care about what is happening to others. They only help people when it benefits themselves and can be seen by others.

Narcissists often ask how something affects them without asking how something affects others.

There is much hostility in the heart of a contentious person drought with narcissism. They are quick to become angry, whether covert or overt while claiming they are not angry.

The 2 Timothy 3 types treat those who disagree with them as though they are bad or foolish. They refuse to validate anyone who corrects to help, they do not see it as help but as a personal attack.

The 2 Timothy 3 types lack agreeableness and are contention about things that are not important. They are fraught with jealousy when the attention is on others.

There is constant deception occurring in personal interactions, much manipulation, and lying to impress others. Everything that is done is to elevate self and dominate others.

The 2 Timothy 3 types are unable to understand the needs of others, are very shallow and will not engage in discussions of depth and importance unless they are the center of attention, then appearing intelligent is more important than truth.

They have an inability to set boundaries, and failure to take action because of co-dependence. They are deeply dependent on others for their validation. They become angry when others do not support decisions that seem unwise.

They do not grow because they think they already know everything and no one can instruct them or correct them. They have figured everything out, they know everything and have every ability. And, when they are wrong they will never admit it which is the reason they cannot grow wiser.

These people believe they have everything figured out and no one has anything to offer them, there's no room for personal development.

These attributes of the narcissist are the reason we see older people who still act like they did when they were in their twenties. They never challenged themselves to grow in holiness and wisdom causing a lifelong regression and a permanent state of immaturity.

Narcissists are Controlled by Devils

Narcissists can never take accountability for their actions. They do not love anyone, and this foolishness is growing in these last days.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

Difficult Times Will Come

"3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."

2 Timothy 4:2-4

"2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction.

3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

Acts 20:29-30

"I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. / Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them."

We are living in the last days that are literally "ragingly insane", irrational thinking is common and rampant now. Christians are being accused of what the narcissists are doing and we are not. Just like the devil going before God and accusing the brethren who have been forgiven and are changed.

The narcissist hates our progress in wisdom and holiness, even if in the smallest way, it is intimidating to them when others progress in wisdom and holiness.

And, worse yet these angry narcissistic people are in the church. The 2 Timothy 3 passage is a description of the apostate church, God tells us they have a form of religion but deny Christ while claiming to be a Christian. They deny Christ by ignoring His principles and making up their own.

James 3:13-15 "13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good conduct, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast in it or deny the truth. 15 Such wisdom does not come from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic."

Do not fear any of this, God said it would be this way and that we would have the strength in Christ to pass through this very difficult time with joy and peace as long as we keep our focus on Christ.
