Our Family are those who Love Christ and Because they Love Him they will Love Us

When we become born again we are no longer in bondage to anyone, the secular culture or the "Christian" culture based on man's traditions and not the Bible.
Mark 7:13 "13 Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
We live in a culture now that thinks because two people in marriage are to leave their father and mother and cleave to their spouse, this allows them to completely neglect their parents. The adult children are abandoning their own parents to enjoy a life of pleasure with their own children, and by example teaching them to do the same when they are adults and their parents are elderly.
As the saying goes; "more is caught than taught." Children learn more by their parent's example than they do by words. More and more elderly people are being neglected by their adult children and their own grandchildren have no interest in them either.
I find it interesting too in my study of narcissism that those who are self-absorbed hate being around sick people. They have no empathy for anyone who is frail therefore they avoid those who are sick. Elderly people have many health problems because their bodies are breaking down as they age. We all have them, those who are in Christ depend on Him to sustain them through everything.
Mark 7:9-12 "9 He was also saying to them, “You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition. 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘The one who speaks evil of father or mother, is [f]certainly to be put to death’; 11 but you say, ‘If a person says to his father or his mother, whatever I have that would help you is Corban (that is, [g]given to God),’ 12 you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother; 13 thereby invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many things such as that.”"
Because of the many things the culture teaches, adult children no longer feel any obligation to care for their aging parents in their elder years. Since this is true for many if not most families today, those who are born again must more fully trust in Christ for everything. Those who do not have Christ are neglected and even abused by those who are paid to care for them.
As we navigate through this wicked world full of pride and self-exaltation we will see more of this neglect of helping others. Nowadays often, we see people help others but only to gain praise from those watching. Very few people do their good deeds secretly to please God, there is always an angle that ultimately ends up getting the good deed doer something for themselves.
Matthew 6:1-2 "1“Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.…"
Since we are living "as in the days of Noah" we will see an increase in selfish living on the part of a culture that does not honor God but wants to "appear" as though they have a "form of godliness" for their own aggrandizement.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 is the proof of this!
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
Note: verse 5 "holding to a form of godliness", but denying God in the lifestyle. And, note: verse 5 "avoid such people as these."
No believer need be angry or upset by the neglect of their adult children, they can live with joy as Christ Himself cares for them. The children will be held accountable before God for their selfish lifestyle and even suffer some consequences in this life, but we are not responsible for them nor are we to worry about who will care for us. God always provides for those who trust in Him.
I might add this too, do not feel obligated to leave an inheritance to those who have neglected you. God does not give His inheritance to those who do not love Him. This is not revenge but good ole fashioned horse sense, that our money should be left to those who are serving God and love His Word while in obedience to Him.
I cannot imagine leaving an inheritance to those who have despised me all their lives. Giving them my possessions and money will not make them love God, nor will it make them love me. If we have to buy the love of our children with an inheritance then the love is not real but manipulation.
There are families who are serving Christ and obeying Him in their lifestyle who could be blessed by us for their dedication to Christ and His ways. I am convinced that I am to reward those who love Christ and obey Him. I never want to reward those who hate Christ and despise His family.
The belief that we must leave money and possessions to our children just because they are "family", places the bio-family above the family of Christ. Making an inheritance so important that one has to violate God's principles to adhere to what the culture expects is placing money and material goods above Christ.
My obligation is to the family of Christ above everyone else. If you happen to have family who love Christ and honor you as a brother and sister in Christ and as their parents, then they are our "real family", the family of God.
Here again, we see where man's traditions, that is leaving inheritance to ungodly family, overrides God's principles about who is our family when we become born again.
Luke 9:59-60
"59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 60 And Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”
The principle here is that our family are those who love Christ and because they love Christ they love us.
John 13:34-35 "…34A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are My disciples if you love one another.”
1 John 3:14
"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death."
1 John 4:20
"If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen."

The Rise of Christian Nationalism | EP 03

The Sad State of the Apostate Church Today

In recent years I have become keenly aware of how many "church goers" do not know the Bible and who have false beliefs that are against the Bible.
One man who says he is a Christian said to me that we are not a thief just because we have stolen one thing. I was astounded and explained to him that we could never steal even the smallest item unless we were already a thief in our hearts.
How is it possible for someone to attend church all their lives and not understand this principle that the heart is what is wicked before the actions occur.
Matthew 5:27-28
Adultery in the Heart
27 “You have heard that it was said [a]to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
We could go our entire lives without stealing anything and still have a heart of thievery simply by wishing we could or endorsing it in others.
Many people who do not steal will go to hell for not trusting in Christ. All have sinned in their hearts and are destined to hell if they do not confess their sinfulness and ask God to cleanse them from their sin.
Even after we are born again Christ spends the rest of our lives cleansing us from sinful thoughts and attitudes. Those who hold themselves in high regard cannot trust in Christ. They are trusting in their own goodness and are proud of it.
It was pride that got the devil thrown out of heaven. He desired to be like God, better than everyone else. And yet, he is the vilest of beings that exists and is continually tormenting mankind to become like him in hating God.
As long as there is pride and a superior attitude toward others there cannot be humility that comes from trusting in Christ.
The first thing that happens to us to become born again is the brokenness over our own sinfulness. Those who have never been broken will not be saved.
Those who continually live to elevate self above others cannot be saved.
Proverbs 16:18-19 "18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. 19 It is better to be lowly in spirit among the humble than to divide the spoil with the proud.…"
The greatest prayer a sinner can pray is that Christ remove from our heart any pride and sense of superiority that lingers then allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse us.
Remember these guys?
Luke 18:9-14 "9 Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:
10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’
13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’
14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Trust in Christ through the Holy Spirit not in the Country or the Pastor

Are you trusting in your country or are you trusting in Christ? It's a good question because both cannot co-exist, we must choose one over the other.
Since there is no command in the Bible to vote for our leaders we can choose if we want to or not.
It is amazing to me that so many Christians have judged others as "neglectful or bad" citizens of the country they live in because they have chosen to believe what God said in His Word.
Romans 13:1 "Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God."
We are to be good citizens in the country in which we live as a witness to the people around us. However, we are not commanded by God to do what the authorities have allowed but have made no law about.
We are living in a day when some remnant believers have chosen to avoid the political system while believing the Lord will put in whomever He wants for whatever are His purposes.
Americans have been indoctrinated from a very young age in government schools that we would be bad citizens if we didn't vote for our leaders. This is very difficult to overcome when from age we were told we must vote. No where in Scripture does God tell us we are bad citizens if we don't vote for a leader. God has this, He is in control and no one will be in power without His permission.
This mentality of "everyone must vote" does not allow for a person to vote their own conscience when two evil people are running for office. In the minds of Americans, we must choose one of the evil people to rule us or we are bad citizens.
I reject the idea that someone is a "bad citizen" if they choose not to vote. We are often told to vote our conscience from the pulpit but we are never told we are allowed to express our conscience by not voting.
Once again the church oversteps the Scriptures and places rules and mandates on people that God never placed but are cultural and not Biblical.
I have voted since I was 18, and yes often with frustration that I had to cast a vote for a foolish and wicked person. I have voted for many years for the "lesser of the two evils" in an attempt to get a few things I believed were good for the country. I promised my husband that I would never cancel out his vote by voting differently from him. I knew he agreed with me on the moral issues so I could easily keep that promise.
My admonition to believers is to stop pressuring people to ignore the Holy Spirit when He is telling someone not to cast a vote. We do not know what God has for our country, it may be punishment through wicked leaders, and believe me when I say we deserve what God will give us.
If you cannot give me one command in the word of God without snatching passages out of their context, that everyone should vote then you have no right to pressure others to do what you think they should do in the matter of voting.
I am not telling people not to vote, I am telling people to be led by the Holy Spirit and allow others to be led by Him too without worldly and cultural pressure.
I wonder how many people will be able to worship at home if the churches are shut down. My guess, based on the COVID years is that most do not know how to worship at home without that paid pastor up front.
I was not worried about the church gatherings in those monstrous buildings being shut down because it was a test of the dedication of Christians, whether they knew how to pray and worship on their own without a "pastor" doing it for them.
So many church attendees think their "pastor" is the mediator between them and God, this could not be more egregious. When we have been depending on a "pastor" we are not depending on the Holy Spirit.
John 16:13-15
"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you."
God never said the leaders or pastors would lead us into all truth. He said it would be the Holy Spirit. Those who depend on the pastors are not depending on the Holy Spirit.
Next time a person approaches you and says: " I have a word from the Lord for you", tell them boldly and without reservation; "no you do not, God tells me what He wants me to know and there is only one Mediator between me and God and that is Christ Jesus."
