Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ.
A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord.
Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.
In reading this article it became clear that this manner of developing a good marriage is not for marriage only, but for any relationship. If there is not mutual respect for another's freedom to express their opinion and a desire to know the thoughts of a friend, then there cannot be a close relationship. When a relationship is one sided, one of the parties dominates conversations, manipulates to cause emotional weakness and works to win rather than learn, then there can be no relationship. Relationships are built on love and mutual submission, this takes courage and commitment. When either party is bent on being first, best and most, then the relationship will be damaged until that person repents and begins again differently, with resolve to build a Christlike connection for the edification of the other person. It takes selflessness to love as Christ loved.
