O.K., one more time concerning the Nephilim debate, let's consider the implications of believing that a spirit being impregnated a human woman.
When was the first and only time this happened? Mary the of mother of Jesus was the first and only woman ever impregnated by a Spirit father, that was the Father in heaven for the purpose of bringing our Savior into the world as the Sacrifice for our sins.
Could it be that the devil wanted to remove the spot light from the glory of the incarnate Holy Christ, by claiming that it has been done before my devils into human women.
The devil has always been an imitator, he is the ultimate narcissist, he must remove the glory of God by pretending to do the same things as God.
He is not capable of the same miracles of God, but will use counterfeit miracles, false miracles to bring the glory away from God, to mock and demean Him.
It is my contention that this is exactly what the devil has done in these last day, bring back the work of a devilish writer to take the spot light off of the glory of God, by giving the glory to demons. Sadly so many people are falling into this deception without blinking any eye.
Perhaps pride prevents rational thinking that exposes evil. I remember the story called "The Emperors New Clothes." The Emperor had no clothes on as he marched through the streets, but the people were told he had new clothes on and they must praise him for his new clothes, so guess what, all the people praised him for his new clothes except one innocent little girl who declared loudly, "he doesn't have any clothes."
Isn't this what is happening all over this country, preachers in the pulpit are proclaiming things that are not true but the people are buying them, hook, line and sinker because they want to be accepted and feel special.
It doesn't take much to refute many of the false teachings, a little Bible research, the Holy Spirit and a heart that desires truth, is all that is required to expose these foolish notions loved and accepted by those who are too lazy to pray, read and think!
Remember the story and the emperor who had no clothes, ask yourself if you are relying on the ideas of others rather than Christ for your teaching.
I listen to lots of people and read lots of books, however I question all that is said and prove it by the Word of God. If I am challenged about something I have not heard before, I go to prayer and the Word, as we all should, to see if what I have heard squares with the Word of God, the Bible.
Let's not be lazy believers accepting whatever new thing is popular, or whatever educated people tell us, instead let's be Bereans who searched the Word daily to see if the things Paul was telling them were true. No one, no matter how educated has so much authority or clout in our lives that we simply follow them believing every thing they say. We follow Christ not men, we follow Christ not the writings of men.
Acts 17:11-12 "11 Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. 12 As a result, many of them believed, along with quite a few prominent Greek women and men.…"
